Style: Goes for simplicity. She loves Jeans. So she pairs shirts, tank tops, jackets and everything else with all kinda of jeans. Sometimes wears shorts and skirts, if she’s overly happy or excited about something, she’ll wear bright colors. But usually she likes to wear outfits that are grey, black or white and some earth colors, like brown, maroon, navy. Usually wears flat shoes, and strappy sandals, and sneakers. When she feels like it, she’ll wear boots and heels.

Background-

Personality: Taeko was born and raised in Boston to a pure Korean family. So she grew up with sort of a mix of cultures. She was taught Korean by her parents and she knew most about the Korean culture and everything like that, but around her friends she’s very American. She only likes a select few people and if she doesn’t like you, then she has no need for you in her life. She won’t talk to you or anything like that.

She’s not a plastic person. Around people she doesn’t like, she won’t even talk to them. But she can be civil, however if someone is pestering her, she wont hesitate to tell to their faces she does not like them. I guess that makes her pretty blunt. She’s very kept to and only opens up to her closest friends.

She’s very choosy when it comes to her friends, she isn’t easily swayed by small talk and all those other things. She knows when someone genuinely wants to get to know her, and those are the people she likes.

Taeko is also responsible and a little bit obsessive compulsive, but she doesn’t exactly like rules. She likes to do things in her own pace, and she hates deadlines. However, since she knows how to be responsible for herself, and even sometimes for others, she gets things done.

She can follow instructions easily and is generally easy to approach. Easy to approach but hard to crack open. She likes playing outside in the rain or sun and likes to drive around, she cherishes her moments of freedom because she has time to meditate and think over things that needs to be done.

Hobbies: Singing in the shower, making lyrics, copying songs she likes on the piano, playing around with photoshop, eating desserts, making milk shakes, playing the guitar

Likes: Desserts and sweets! Also likes fast food-food. Playing the piano and playing the guitar and writing lyrics (she has yet to get better at composing songs). Watching movies—comedy, action and chick flicks. Playing card games and board games. When in the mood likes to shop. Mangoes and orange juice.

Dislikes: When people are too noisy. Waking up early. Heavy metal songs. Needles, reptiles. Doesn’t eat seafood often unless sushi/sashimi or if it’s mixed with pasta or rice.

Fears: afraid of knives (as much as possible tries not to prepare food), closed/cramped/small spaces, afraid of monkeys, cats, and lizards. Scared to walk alone at night for fear of getting mugged/robbed/etc.

Trivia: she’s a gymnast and then she became a dancer then discovered she was a good singer as well.

Weakness: She’s a perfectionist a lot of times so she’s hard to please. If she absolutely doesn’t like a person, she wont talk to you at all. She can be hard-headed and hard to work with around people she doesn’t seem to work well with. She’ll bottle up her feelings until it explodes.

Family Background:

Her parents are both Korean and she has an older brother. Her family is pretty well off, not super rich, but more like a luckier middle class. :) She is close with her brother and often seeks his advice. She acts more mature than him, too. She has a nice relationship with her parents as well. Her dad isn’t strict with her, and her mom isn’t either, but her mom is more of the one who lays down the rules for the kids. Her dad has a soft side for her.

She’s not materialistic, so she doesn’t ask for a lot of things. Simply, she is given things by her parents when they feel like they want something for her, also, since she doesn’t normally ask for a lot, they buy her what she wants whenever she asks for something—which is not all the time.

Her parents allow her to go experiment with many different hobbies that’s why she likes to be outside the house. However, during the days she’s in one of her moods, she locks herself up in her room. Her parents and brother understand not to bother her try to persuade her to return to normal with food or movies, which usually work.

Later, she also finds out she’s 2^nd cousins with Beast’s Yong Junhyung. It was a slow growth, but then they started watching out for each other, being family and all.

How were you discovered:
Auditioned in SM’s Global auditions when she was 15 but didn’t pass. She continued taking vocal and dance classes then moved to Korea when she graduated high school and passed SM auditions there at the age of 17.

Love interest:Hwang Chansung, Thunder Park

How did you meet?: Backstage during a music shows. And maybe, they appear on variety shows together. Both Chansung and Thunder are her ageand so they were friendly enough to well, befriend her and she begins to become fans of their respective groups and enjoys watching them perform and such. So, Chansung and/or Thunder gets the chance to exchange numbers with her and then things move on from there.

How you treat each other: Starts off shy with each other at first, but Chansung and Thunder were both very friendly. Eventually they get comfortable with each other and laugh, joke around and share stories (stories about anything! their group, experiences in certain places, what happened to them during recordings/ etc). Chansung/Thunder is always curious about what's going on with Taeko but she never tells them, always brushing them the subject off saying she's fine. Once she let's him in, she finds a friend she treasures.

Friends: SHINee’s Minho, Beast’s Junhyung, MBLAQ’s Lee Joon, someone from the band

Rival: Taeyeon of SNSD and Yenny and SunYe of Wonder Girls

Why: She’s very competitive so she mostly monitors the performances of these girls and compare her own vocal ability to theirs. She likes to challenge herself, so she likes that extra push when she knows her competition gets better.

Others-

Storyline: Can Taeko have scenes to herself where she over exerts during practice and stuff? Or maybe like a health scare! That’s always fun (and a source of news) someone faints? And then also a scene where she becomes really good friends with someone from the band.

As far as love songs go, for story progression, I think I like: Big Girls Don’t Cry by Fergie and I Wont Say I’m In Love (HAHA!) from Disney’s Hercules; sung by the Cheetah Girls! and for the jam with my friends: Good Girls Go Bad (lol) by Cobra Starship and I’ll Be There For You, the theme song of sitcom FRIENDS. :)

Any other things I missed out? :always wears two rings on her finger. One from her parents on her 16^th birthday with an infinity sign carved on it, and one from her grandmother with Topaz around it—her birthstone.
