Personality:
Just to inform, Mar Hyuk prefers to be called with his english name or nickname, Maz. The reason is unknown.
He's a crazy guy with a very serious soul in him. He can be a good comedian but he could be a stern guy as well. He's the type of guy that is very kind and very thoughtful when it comes to girls. he doesn't like to play with their feelings and he respects them.
He's the type of guy that sometimes would mind other's business just to save the person in disadvantage. Even if it could bring him into trouble. And he is very willing to take the blame.
He has extra-ordinary moves that sometimes you'd think that he was born as a mosquito baby. And I don't mean in dancing. He really moves a lot. He can't stay in one place. He loves to laugh and laugh. He is only serious when he's doing something or doesn't have someone to talk to. He doesn't like other's touching his things and he doesn't want to be disturbed. Especially when sleeping.
When you disturb him in his sleep, he'd go on rampage. No matter where you run in the room, he'd try to catch you and give you a flick on the nose. And I don't mean just some normal flick. A very STRONG flick you could even compare it so Onew's finger.
He's a very straightforward and honest person as well, if he's bored he'd never hesitate to show it. But he'd never speak just through his facial expression. When he's bored he cross his legs and shake his foot. But when he is very interested, he tends to speak a lot and quickly, you won't be able to understand what he's saying.
He doesn't like seeing old women's on the street. Sometimes he'd feel like crying when he see old women begging for money on the street. He even thought he should have just worked in the Agency where they get Old people from the street.
He's very strict to boys, especially those who are close to him. He doesn't want them to act as B*stards so he always nag them not to do certain things. But when it comes to girls, he'd be very giving. That's why he's guy friends would always complain.
He's a bipolar guy. When he's listening to his Ipod, when a very lively song is playing he would have a smile on his pretty face, when the next song is a classic or sad song, his facial expression would change into a very serious lion. But his weaknesses is CUTENESS!! He doesn't know how to do that stuff and he really hates those CUTEness whatsoever...
He's a perfectionist as well. He doesn't like dirty rooms. And everything must be organized.
When it comes to his family especially his sister, Janey, who is also an Idol, he's SO protective he could kill a person. You can play with her, talk with her or even Court if you pass his standards but never, EVER, play with her Feelings. Once he knew that someone made her cry, he'd hunt that person and punish him like that of a Military Punishment. Well, it depends on the reason why she's crying.
When he see that Janey is wounded, even with the smallest blood he could see, he would make a fuss on it and panic that Janey might die.
And lastly, he is a devoted Christian and he always pray. He always pray for his friends and his family. To give hi guidance as he can't be for them always.

His family lived in the Philippine because of their Restaurant business. His father, Yang Dem Il, being the Chef while his mother, Yang Mar In, is the one who serves them. His family is very humble and they are not very rich. Just enough for them to be able to eat 3 times a day.
When they have earned enough for 11 years, They moved to Korea and built their business there. It instantly became a hit. Even celebrities eat there.

How you became a trainee at SM:
He became a trainee because his father is friends to one of the representative of SM. They met at Mardem's house when Mr. Chang, the representative, visited. While his father was drinking with Mr. Chang, Mardem was inside his room banging his roof with loud music and hardcore rap.
Even though it was very noisy, Mr. Yang didn't mind and just told his friend to not mind Mardem. But Mr. Chang can hear a very distinct type of rap in Mardem's voice so he was scouted by him and Mardem became a trainee at the age of 13.
