I think my biggest inspiration for writing comes from books. I'm not exactly an avid reader but in the first week of me living in my house in Japan I had no wifi or tv so basically I spent my nights reading from the library. I read about 6 books, two on the my entire trip in the Philippines. Basically this is probably the most amount of books I've read in the past two years.

 Though, neither The Power of Nine or Bookworm are based off any book I read. Actually when I had the initial thought of Bookworm (this was like a while before I even started writing it) the fourth book I read was about basically an arrogant university teacher and art major who goes to a library because a famous stolen painting is in the hands of the librarian. Although Bookworm isn't even close to that plot, the relationship between the two goes from bitter (the librarian charges the teacher $100 for writing on a newspaper) to eventually falling in love. It was pretty ironic and it definitely made me want to start writing Bookworm.

 Usually when I'm in the middle of the book is when my mind drifts off into plugging the characters with kpop people. I seem to always make it SNSD related with a sprinkle of Super Junior or TVXQ but I realize that I shouldn't make so many stories then put them all off due to laziness. Especially SNSD stories, they might be my 3rd all time favorite kpop group I definitely think of them more often than SHINee or Beast. I should really start making more stories outside of SMTown.

 Moreover, my fourth grade teacher told me that the more you read, the more your writing improves. I cannot even fathom over how true that statement is. Suddenly your vocabulary improves, your writing structure gets better, and your overall imagination and creativity flies to another dimension. I must say that although my writing is mediocre, it is definitely better than what I have written before and I think it's primarily because of all the books I've been reading as well as fanfics.

 So long story short my biggest inspiration for writing is in books. Whether it's for plot lines or just grammatical improvement it's helped me be the fanfic writer I am today. What's your inspiration?
