About YOU

Personality : Sarah - to put it in a simple way - has a very complex personality. When you first meet her, she's sweet, friendly, cool and ever-so-slightly shy, doing her best to make you feel comfortable and become your friend. When you get close to her enough, she's your pretty weird, funny, slightly talkative, energetic foreign friend. She's not afraid to be confused and ask questions or dance some lame dance in the middle of the street. People say she reminds them of a guinea pig and that she is cute without trying. But be warned, this girl is one tough cookie when she wants to be. Despite her very soft and sweet features, she can punch you in the face so hard that your nose can break.

Growing up with discipline, she knows when she has to work hard and when she gets to let go. Like any other teenage girl, she experiences extreme mood swings. When she's sad, she will only keep quiet and try her best to not interact, only smiling when people ask if something is wrong. When she's mad, Sarah tries her best to keep it in to stay calm, but she will end up yelling and screaming, sometimes even throwing things on the ground violently. She can be immature at times, but she has learnt to be mature and strong after years of rhythmic gymnastics training.

She's also extremely naive when it comes to boys, as she never got the chance to explore the world of relationships and first kisses. (She hasn't had her first kiss!) But, she treats guys like they're just her buddies and she's considered to be 'one of the guys' at times. Not to mention, she's a bit forgetful and can space out easily. Despite that, she's quite analytical as she analyses situations and people in her head - sometimes subconciously, meaning she's quite the smart-. Sarah is a tad bit selfish too. She's a bit of an introvert but, she constantly got scolded by her parents for being so selfish all the time. She know tries to help people as much as she can, but the selfishness is still there, even if it is just a bit.

Background : Sarah was a state rhythmic gymnast, training 6 times a week ever since she was seven. She never could find something to let out the stress, until she found out about k-pop. K-Pop was a big thing in Malaysia before it big in any other part of the world. She soon found fun and stress-relief with the fun addictive dance moves of k-pop. Her mother realized this and researched into it more. She hated seeing her oldest daughter stressed out as they had planned to pull Sarah out of the gymnastics team soon then. Around the time 'Nobody' by Wonder Girls became a world wide phenomenon, Sarah's mother filmed Sarah dancing to the whole 'Nobody' routine and sent it over to some companies like SM, TS and JYP. The tape got passed around companies until finally a new company called YOONique saw the video and decided to pick up Sarah. 

A month later, Sarah was offered to be a trainee at YOONique Entertainment and TS Entertainment. Seeing how happy her daughter was, Sarah's mother convinced her husband to let their daughter go to South Korea. Finally, he let in and Sarah went over to Korea to choose between TS and YOONique. She trained at both for two weeks. In the end, she stuck with YOONique.

How did you guys meet : During her two weeks trial training at TS Entertainment, Sarah and Joon Hong met by chance suring the lunch break. The kimchi was about to run out and Sarah scooped up the last bit of kimchi on to her plate. Then, Zelo came running to see the kimchi had run out. Sarah offered him her plate but he declined. She insisted and they ended up sharing the plate of kimchi. 

They introduced themselves to each other and became friends. Even though Sarah went to YOONique, they still contacted each other frequently.
