JONGYU? Not jongnew or onjong?

HEY JONGYU FANS!! This is just curiosity.... Why are jonghyun n onew JONGYU and not JONGNEW OR ONJONG. I know there is.... But y? How u all arrive there

Well if you say Jongnew or Onjong it sounds and feels a bit awkward coming out of your mouth. And agreeing with @goopeculiar, ㅠ in his stage name is "yoo" or "yu" sound, depending on how you wish to romanize it. But that's how fans came up with Jongyu ^^

because onew's name is actually spelled 온유 = on-yoo/on-yu.
