A couple of people have asked me why all my stories use the same names for the OC lead and support. Some think that I'm too lazy to think of other names, lol! But that's not the case.

Actually, Lily is a character that I made. Just like Harry Potter is a character with set characteristics, just like Superman has his set personality and general background even when put in different storyarcs in the DC universe (I'm sorry for being such a geek, lol). Lily is like that. A real, solid character with good traits and flaws - not just a name. Some of her background may change according to the story, but she has a consistent personality, just like you and I do. 

I've tried my best to develop her character in my stories (still working on my character development skills, lol, please bear with me) and show people who Lily is through how she reacts in certain situations. But if you're really curious, here's a short "biography". I've always had it at the back of my mind and kind of just pulled stuff from there, but I guess it'd also be fun for the readers to know just who this girl is. :)

 

Lily's Background

 

Full Name: Lilian Arden Lao (that's why they ended up saying that she's Henry's cousin in They Lost Hyukjae, lol. It may only be a 1-letter difference, but it's a completely different character, but close enough, right? :p)

Nationality: changes depending on the story

Ethnicity: Asian, of Taiwanese descent, with a little of something else mixed in so she looks a bit different from the typical pale, petite, chinky-eyed Asian look.

Height: around Donghae's height, whatever it is :) (let's say, 170cm)

Weight: a lady's weight is her best kept secret. :p but let's just say that she's definitely not a stick figure, maybe a couple of kilos or so over your typical girl group members' size.

Other features: long black hair that begins straight from the roots and naturally curls halfway through towards the ends, she's right-handed, and has HUGE feet (size 10 ladies US)

Educational attainment: Bachelor's degree from a prestigious university and (or in the process of getting) a graduate degree (depending on story)

Family background: upper middle class to upper class (depending on story) but she doesn't act like it, parents have a modest/big (depends on story) business (changes industry depending on story) that she may or may not want to inherit

Siblings: none

Best friend/favorite relative: Stefany Clare Castro-Ong (but goes by her second name only because the way her first name is spelled just irks her)

Favorite colors: purple and gold

Likes: spicy food, sweets, sleeping, tshirt-jeans-sneakers outfits, movies with lots of explosions, horror, fantasy, and sci-fi (but secretly watches rom-coms when she's sad), the moon (it just fascinates her), alone time

Dislikes: cockroaches (and other bugs), public speaking, social events, clubs, attention-, excessively loud people, disrespect, pink, people talking to her when she's sleeping (or trying to), gooey, cheesy, overly dramatic love stories (in general, but she sometimes watches those for fun)

 

Personality overview:

hardworking; creative; talented; funny; passive (and sometimes passive-aggressive); responsible; cares deeply about her passions and what's important to her but can be apathetic towards everything else; conflicted between the pride that's both innate and inculcated in her (that stems from her family and educational background) and her concept of her self-worth, which has been skewed towards the negative due to persisting pressures of society and how people generally treat her; relatively innocent and a little naive; goes with the flow but has a rigid set of principles she sticks to; laughs easily; easy to please; great listener; not a morning person but is never late; strong and independent but feels helplessly lost inside
