anyway what i meant to say is

even with the new karma system and voting thing;
people are still trying to find ways to get lots of karma
and they're bribing their subscribers to upvote their fic

THEY REALLY JUST DON'T LEARN.

jason added these features so we would have less people greedy for karma (and so they wouldn't spam fics)
and so readers would have the chance to vote for stories they actually, truly, think should be featured.

BRIBING SUBSCRIBERS TO VOTE FOR YOUR STORY DOESN'T MAKE YOUR STORY ANY BETTER DOES IT?

I've seen a few writers who wrote either to improve their English or just because they love writing. :)
Most AFF writers are around age 12 or in their young teens, and during this age, we tend to be greedier like five year olds. :P
It's human nature, so we can't do anything to argue.
I would be more shocked to see more writers who would just write for the love of writing than writers who are greedy for karma or subscribers or comments.

Just give them some time.
They'll eventually understand that being featured isn't a big deal and will slowly find their passion for writing. :)

And omg Dragon Nest, lol. I've heard of it, but I've never tried playing it. Not gonna try now, seeing that you've got yourself severely addicted.
