Horror Story Test #2 (Limbo)
Ricky regained consciousness after what felt like forever. He took a look at his surroundings and saw that he was in an unfamiliar place. “Where am I?” he thought aloud.
He stood up and explored a bit of this vast land. As he reached a huge tree, he was just standing there in awe. “Hello?” came a voice from behind him.
Ricky turned around and saw a girl, about 10cm shorter than he was, with the same confused expression as he wore. “Hi there” Ricky greeted.
The girl bowed her head, “May I ask what your name is?”
“Yoo Changhyun, but I mainly go by Ricky” he introduced himself.
“Ricky…” the girl mumbled, “I like that name.”
“Now may I know your name?” Ricky asked out of courtesy.
“My name is Im Tessa” the girl, whose name was Tessa, calmly introduced herself.
“So, do you know where we are?” Ricky asked.
Tessa looked around and sighed before telling him, “This is Limbo”
“How do you know this?” Ricky asked, amazed that she knew the name.
“I’ve been here a little longer than you have…” Tessa shrugged, “Plus I read quite a bit of morbid stories.”
Ricky chuckled a little bit, “Well… how did we get here?”
“That I’m not 100% sure” Tessa sadly replied.
Ricky then looked all around and didn’t really see any clues, “Well then, shall we explore?”
“Might as well” Tessa quietly replied.
The two then started walking together around this place called ‘Limbo’. It was so dark and misty that they could not tell if it was day or night. They searched for hours of what might be civilization, but they could never find anything.
“How long has it been since we’ve been here?” Ricky asked.
Tessa checked her pocket and her phone was completely black. She then looked as the vague shadows, “I don’t know… time seems to stand still here”
Ricky’s expression was one of extreme worry. He then noticed something hanging from a tree. “What’s that?”
Tessa looked closely at the object and noticed something, “Not a ‘what’, but a ‘who’”
The two walked closer to the strange person and Ricky seemed to recognize this person. “L.Joe-hyung?”
“You know this guy?” Tessa asked she examined the guy. “He doesn’t seem to be moving.”
“L.Joe-hyung, can you hear me?” Ricky tried to get L.Joe to respond.
The tree branch that L.Joe was on moved a little and he fell off. He did not hit the ground though. There was a small rope hanging around his neck and it was tied to a higher branch.
Both Ricky and Tessa heard the snap and cringed at the sound and sight. “What happened to him?” Tessa thought aloud.
“Could it be…?” Ricky muttered to himself.
“Let’s keep going…” Tessa suggested as she started to walk away.
Ricky followed her but that image of L.Joe hanging from the tree still lingered in his mind. Tessa was a little worried about him but shrugged off the feeling and continued to explore.
After exploring a bit more, they suddenly heard something appear from behind them. “Did you hear that?” Ricky asked.
Tessa nodded, “What is it?” she asked.
All of a sudden, there was a huge shadow over then and something appeared right beside Tessa. She looked at the object and looked up and saw that it was a giant spider hovering over them.
“I think we should start running…” Ricky mumbled.
“…No ” Tessa replied.
I felt like I could keep going with this... but what do you think?
A while back, I did a horror story test that was inspired by creepypasta that I read. I wouldn't really consider this horror... but it is a bit morbid. This was inspired by the game Limbo and that is a pretty good game.
This time: this little test features Teen Top. All I did was use a randomizer and I luckily got Teen Top. Feel free to tell me what you think of this. If you like what you read, I might continue this little drabble/one-shot.
