Like my title said, I hate my race sometime. Being ahmong girl, I am expected to be the prefect daughther that listens to her parents and never disobey them. I must get good grades and find a good husband. I DON'T mind all of that BUT my parents seriously lost my interest in finding a husband when I get older. Here's the deal with being an asian girl. When we get married our husband MUST pay an amount to the parents (varies upon the girls' education). (Am I A ITEM YOU CAN SELL??!) The parents ARE TO find family members (uncles and aunts, grandmas and grandpas) to do the wedding. there are many importat parts for them such someone greeting them, someone talk to the husband family about what will happen after getting, someone to make sure nothing is out, etc. Oh and one more thing, the parents are too sew/buy clothing of their color (meaning the way you talk, since hmong people have different ways of talking) for the bride and her green lady (the maid of honor). I loathe how my parents does EVERYTHING at the last minute! Right now, they're looking for people to help out for the wedding BUT they waited at the last minute that some people can't even come! This is why I WANT to leave my family behind (although they're a big part of my life), I don't think I can get married in this kind of life. I WISH I WAS BORN INTO ANOTHER RACE (although again, they might have it worse)! Ugh, I hate my race sometime D:
