personality : She has a really explosive temper, and gets angry very easily. When she's angry, she screams and shouts and throws insults at whoever she thinks is at fault. With people she doesn't know well, she's kind of friendly, but keeps her distance and is usually very cold until she's used to the person. background : She was born in a very rich family. They lived in Tokyo, but she hated it there. She hated the people who lived there, and most of all, her parents. All the "friends" she had sooner or later ended up revealing that they were stupid fakers, and just wanted to use or humiliate MinSook. She had always been very insecure about her appearence, specially her weight, even if she didn't have a reason to, and the people who used her only made it worst. Her parents also never cared about her, and always looked down upon her and her dream. They said that being an idol was ridiculous, and that MinSook only wanted to do that because she was useless at everything else. Because of that, she ended up creating a "barrier" around her, emotionally, so she wouldn't be hurt again.

When she was 11, she auditioned for EMI Music Japan, but kept it a secret from her parents. She only auditioned so she would have where to train (for free, because her parents refused to pay for her classes), but didn't have any intentions of debuting on Japan.

The only thing that kept MinSook in Tokyo, was a childhood boyfriend of hers, Seong. They knew each other since they were kids, and they started "dating", like small kids sometimes play around, but they mainteined that relationship for years, and ended up really dating. On her 15th birthday, however, MinSook went looking for her boyfriend, and saw him making out with someone else. She was very shocked, but waited for that other person to leave, and them asked Seong about it. Seong simply said something like: "Did you seriously think I actually liked you? Oh please, look at yourself! What is there to like about you?". MinSook was devastaded, and immediately ran away from home. She took some money from her house, and went to Seoul, to try and go after her dream. After that, she never saw or heard of her parents again, and doesn't want to.

But then, a rather traumatic incident happened. MinSook had been living in Seoul for some months, it was still morning and she was going back to her modest apartment, when a gang approached her. They wanted her to give them all the money she had, but MinSook refused to do that. After some time of arguing, one of the guys pulled out a knife and attacked MinSook from behind, leaving a pretty ugly cut that took half of her back. Then, Kai decided to help her, and after managing to make the gang go away, he went to help the bleeding girl. MinSook refused to be taken to the hospital, so Kai took her to his apartment, where he lived alone, and took care of the cut himself. Kai spent the day trying to talk to the girl, and even if MinSook answered his questions, Kai noticed that the girl wasn't being completely honest. By the end of the day, Kai had managed to go through MinSook's "barrier", and ended up asking about her past, out of curiosity. MinSook decided she would tell Kai the whole truth, she trusted the boy, even if she had only known him for such a short time. MinSook started telling Kai all of her story, and ended up crying, which startled Kai, who stopped everything he was doing and went to comfort the younger girl.  After that day, they started living together, and they became really close friends. Kai was the closest friend MinSook ever had, he was the most important person in the world for her, and she wouldn't change it for anything. She'd even give up her dream, if that meant she would have to leave Kai. Kai always encouraged MinSook when she was down, and took her everywhere he went, be it a training session or going out with friends. Kai and MinSook sleep together, because the girl has trouble sleeping alone. Kai always notices when MinSook wakes up from a nightmare, so he also wakes up, and only goes to sleep again after he makes sure that MinSook also fell asleep.

style : Whenever she steps out of home, she likes to mix fashionable clothes with some which are more "rocker". For example, she usually wears a shirt that is the latest fashion with ripped jeans or leather jackets. Her clothing style changes a bit from day to day. EMI Music Japan - She trained there for 4 years, but didn't plan on debuting there at all.

YG - She was a trainee there for 2 years, and hoped to be able to debut in the same company as her favorite band. One day, Yang Hyun Suk himself called MinSook at his office, and told her that she would debut with a new girl group, but there was a condition. The condition was that MinSook would have to cut all ties with idols from other companies, which meant she would not be allowed to be friends with Kai anymore. MinSook was really mad at that, started screamin at the president and said she would quit YG, which she did right then and there.

SM - After what happened at YG, MinSook decided she would audition for SM. She didn't really want that, because she was afraid people would start comparing Kai and her, but if that was what she needed to do to stay with him, then be it. At her audition, she left everyone speechless because of her talents.

trainee background : She is very talented, and quickly became one of the best trainees at SM (if not the best). She always knew how good she was, and made sure everyone else also knew that. She ended up coming off as extremely arrogant and self-centered, and was generally disliked by the other trainees. MinSook couldn't care less about that, though. However, some of the other trainees sometimes said bad things about her and Kai's relationship, such as how MinSook was provably just using Kai because he was "popular and handsome". Everytime MinSook heard something like this, she ended up insulting, or sometimes even hitting, the person who said it, which only made her reputation around the trainees worst.

Kai brought his and MinSook's lunch to the younger girl's training room everyday, and no one dared questioning the action. MinSook often trained 4-5 hours without even stopping to drink some water, and Kai always scolded her because of that. She was known by almost everyone in the company.

MinSook knows this, and she doesn't even want to think about being with Seong again, specially because she's in love with Kai. Luhan, Sehun and Kai all know about what happened with Seong and MinSook in the past, and they all despise him. Everytime he tries to approach MinSook, one of the three stands up to protect her and makes Seong go away.

Kai was extremely mad at that, and started punching Seong. Luhan, on the other hand, ran straight to the crying girl, hugging and comforting her.
