history: Born in north eastern US, Nam was born into a family of three. She was 3 lbs & 7 oz, one of the smallest babies in the hospital. She had an older sister that always played with her. Park Chem, who was just enrolling into elementary school, had gotten to meet her new-born little sister. Growing a bit more, Nam was a toddler and was enrolled into daycare where she had met her lifetime friend, Byun Saeyeon. They used to play 'diva' on the playgrounds and run away from boys. They grew together and became more than friends, like sisters.
Entering the likes of junior high, they stuck together and were well-known for their skills. They always participated in many of the school's activities and performed together. Nam always tried her hardest and never gave up. As she continued life, with her family's support and force of a best friend, she made through and got to high school. As a freshman, she barely got through. She thought high school was tough. Saeyeon had an older brother who was a junior. He talked to Nam and Saeyeon and said "it gets easier if you become more involved. You'll make more friends, that way." Nam had more hope from an upperclassmate. So she took his advice and tried out for sports every year. Nam became one in the popular crowd, someone who was well-known.
Continue on in her life, her senior year was her best. She had met her first boyfriend of her lifetime. But what broke her is that he barely ever touched her. She was used. The boy used her just to get into the crowd. Coming to an end of her academic life, the last soccer game of the year was the most important to her than graduating. While the last seconds were being counted down, her entire school were hanging off their seats, it was a nail biting scene. Two seconds were left, she ran up to the ball and made a flying curve into the upper left corner of the cage.
Finally coming to the graduating day, Nam and Saeyeon had been planning to move to Korea to study. For the fun of it, they performed in front of the mall and such. They then were recruited to audition, by one of YG's scouters. Sooner or later, Nam was transferred to SM while Saeyeon stayed.

trainee history: After Nam's sister, Chem, was accepted into Harvard, she thought maybe she could have a chance to shine. In 2006, she decided to audition with her freestyle rap, into YG, at first. She lacks skill in vocal, but her dance is pretty well. Being a trainee from the states, not many of them dared to pick on her. During breaks she wouldn't have catching her breath. She would have been practicing her dancing. Later, Nam got transferred to SM on trainee exchange. She re-auditioned in dance, she had been practicing her own choreo. Later (2010), she was lead female role in SE7EN's "I'm Going Crazy" & MBLAQ's "Y". She was chosen to be lead female role, about a couple of years later (2011), for MBLAQ's "Mona Lisa", again. She had gotten along with the members and shared some laughs on set.

how did you meet: Pre-debut, Nam was working her part-time job. GD came in with a couple of his future band members: TOP, Daesung, and Taeyang. He was being loud and bullying Taeyang, playfully. Nam was asked to take care of the 'funny business'. She nicely escorted them out, but GD was playing "Baby Boy". (my brother does this a lot ; it's when you whine and do toddler aegyo to get the girl). He gave his number to her. She roled her eyes and went back inside.
love interest two: Choi Seunghyun "TOP" | 25 | BIG BANG | TOP was a quiet guy. Your typical shy guy. He rarely approves of anything that involves being too loud.
how did you meet: Basically, the same as above. Though, TOP tried to stop GD from his usual games. He defended Nam.
rival(s): Lee Chae Rin "CL" | 21 | 2NE1 | CL and Nam have not ever got along. Not once. At first sight, Nam thought CL would be a b*tch. She was correct. CL was always so nice around BIG BANG members and other idols. But just to Nam and Saeyeon, CL couldn't find the right attitude to act. Behind doors, Nam was always bullied by CL.
