Personality:
Ferm seems like a very confident, snobby and bratty girl. She is full of sarcasm and smirks a lot. It seems as though she doesn't care about what others think and that she feels she's all high and mighty. Fern is very blunt with her words and acts like she's a level higher than everyone else, so she acts as if everyone should bow down to her. A lot of people hate Fern's 'me first' attitude and tend to stay away from her. She likes to scare and threaten people, adding onto the list of things others hate about her. She's a daredevil and she loves to do dangerous things. I guess you can say she's impulsive at times too, as she does act on emotions. Since she gets mad really easily, that's most of the time.
However, Fern is very cautious. She doesn't trust people easily and she is always suspicious of others. She never fully trusts anyone on anything even if she says she does. Also, she really hates to be belittled. She hates the feeling of being controlled and manipulates. Freedom is something she really needs. Also, even though she refuses to show it, she has a strong belonging need. She doesn't like to feel isolated (which she's actually doing to herself) and she likes to feel like she belongs. Feeling like she's lost and confused is not something she likes.
Despite all that, Fern is actually very different on the inside. She acts all high and mighty because she is insecure. She thinks that people will pick on her and bully her if she doesn't act stronger. Therefore, she creatred a persona or mask for herself. Instead of showing her uncertain and lost self, she shows a bratty and annoying persona instead. On the inside, Fern actually feels really guilty for threatening people and acting annoying. However, she's gotten used to pretending now and it just comes by instinct. Though she still feels bad after, she can't really take it back anymore, so she just doesn't say anything. She's actually a very vulnerable girl, which shows since she doesn't like to feel lost, confused or isolated. Her self confidence is probably the size of a peanut and it's easily crushed. Though she acts like she doesn't care, she's actually hurting inside. Fern is a kind and considerate girl, but she refuses to show it anymore (I'll explain in the history section).

History:
As a child, Fern always had a dream to become a Devil. Many Demons wanted that, but it wasn't easy. Eating the souls of 1000 humans might sound like an easy task, but it's not. There's a high chance that the demon will go crazy after eating so many souls. Every time a demon/devil eats a soul, all the bad emotions the soul contained will be felt by the demon. Therefore, after eating 1000 of them, the demon will 99% of the time go crazy after the 500th soul.
However, Fern had a strong mind. Especially after how her parents treated her, Fern's mind became stronger than ever. After eating souls, Fern would sometimes even laugh at what thoughts the human though was bad. If they thought that was bad, they haven't experienced her life. The fact that Fern was extremely determined to become a Devil also helped her get past the worse parts. After 5 years, Fern finally managed to reach her goal. There were many times when she thought she would lose her mind, but she stayed strong by pure will. She would have to sit down and think about her parents and how badly she wanted to get rid of them, and that would be her strength. Finally, she managed to get all one thousand soulds.
However, there was one event during her time as a demon that really caught her attention. Once, when she was about to eat the soul of a human boy, he stopped her. Surprised, Fern gave him a chance to talk. He told her that he still had something left in his life that he needed to do, and the determination in his voice reminded Fern of herself. After erasing his memory of her, she let him off the hook. After that, Fern followed him around to see what he was so set on doing, and saw that he too, wanted to prove something to his parents. The boy was from a poor family, but he was determined to get into the best high school in the country. Therefore, he had to earn scholarship. He wanted to make his parents proud. Seeing that he actually wanted to make his parents happy, Fern felt bitter. But she decided to keep her promise and leave him alone.
Once she became a Devil, Fern proudly went home and was greeted with a lot of priase and admiration. However, her parents were just jealous of her and treated her even worse. Once, when they were abusing her again, she suddenly realized something. She was a rank higher than them now. Why can't she get rid of them? And she did. She killed them on the spot and she felt so light afterwards, as if a burden was lifted off her shoulders. Now she never has to try and please anyone anymore. In the Demon world, killing was common. All Fern had to say was that her parents were killed by someone that broke into their home and killed them. Nobody suspected her. After that, she decided to leave and blend in with the human world. She decided to work at the Cosplay Cafe since they recruited her.
Childhood:
Ever since Fern was born, her parents were horrible to her. They never treated her well once and were always taking out their anger on her. A lot of the time Fern would spend her time outside of the house and wouldn't come back for over a week, but her parents never cared. Fern never recieved any love or kindess from the ones who she should get the most from.
Fern has always been the pushover type when she was little, she figured that was why her parents would boss her around. After that, she created the persona she now has. Her parents actually did lessen their harshness to her, and that was why Fern kept it up. After many years, she grew used to it and always acts that way now. She never had much friends, and the ones she had left her once they grew annoyed of her new attitude. Fern spent most of her time alone.

Sehun is a very shy and quiet person. He'll give the rare smile every now and then, but won't talk much. However, he is a very thoughful and kind person. He almost always puts others before himself. Also, he's very brave and is willing to sacrifice himself for the ones he loves. Sehun is like the one that always blends in with the background and the one that's always forgotten. He prefers to be alone though, so he doesn't mind.

Really quiet. Fern doesn't really pay attention to him, and Sehun doesn't talk. After a while they get closer though. Very protective of each other.

Sehun has always wanted to get into a good high school, and he did his best to earn a full scholarship (the one from Fern's past). When he finally got in, his parents became ill because of how much pressure him being in the school was. Also, since they were poor, they couldn't afford hospital fees. After a few years, his parents died. Sehun began to blame himself for it, since he thinks its his fault. Negative feelings have been brewing inside him ever since. Also, the other students at his school always pick on him because he's poor.
