         why was your house fuq'd up?: Though Jiyeong's now studying in Korea, her family's still staying in Vietnam. So she has to live by herself with her scholarship and her salary from her job tutoring English for kids or Korean foreigners. And even though she's now can live quite comfortable, she has too work real hard to maintain it, while still has to study like a zombie. But she's quite ok with that, like she is with the fact that her 'friends' keep asking for har 'favors',  at least she can have a nice life. That, until one day, when Jiyeong came home after hours of studying and working, to find one of her friends and that friend's boyfriend, sitting HER apartment, surrounding in shopping bags, which are bought by HER credit card that SHE had to work till collapsed to fill. Not to mention the kitchen that looked like a storm had just passed by (which later she found out their 'love' session is the reason). After that, Jiyeong found out that sometimes, 'No' is the right answer.

personality: 

      Jiyeong is a girl whom you can truly call kind, or stupid, even. She always tries to help people as much as she can and couldn't really say no, she worries too much and easily gets emotional with people's sad stories. That's why she's often being fooled and used, yet still can never bring her heart to hate anyone, despite how badly they treated her.

       Jiyeong's also a perfectionist, always trying to make everything perfect, that's the reason why she's stressed out quite alot and never thinking herself is good enough. Though not for studying. Jiyeong's a hardworking person, but studying simply never interests her. The only reason why she studies is because she wants to provide her family and herself a good life.  

    Not only that, she has huge mother-instinct. Always worries about her family and friends and tries to take care of them as much as possible, working her off even in a high school to help her parents, listening and stressing out trying to solve her friends' problems, and studing all the time left so she can please her teachers.

      She is a romaticist, though not really can show it because of her shyness and being dead tired all the time with a shietload of work. Always dreams about a beautiful lovestory, yet always tells herself that it wouln't happen to someone like her after that. Work, work, work, there wouldn't be time for love in her life anyway.

background:

      Jiyeong was born and raised in Vietnam by a nice family, with her Korean dad, Vietnamese mom and her older-by-10minutes twin brother. Her mom and dad are one of the strictest (is that a word? :o) parents you can find. No playing after school, no missing classes, no extra pocket money, no whinning and no B's in school. They also made them study as much as possible, science, math, foreign languages, arts,..  They always expect in their twins the best, hopping they could get a better life than what they have now _ working in a small family restaurant that can barely afford their life.  And even though the twins understand that, they always feel like being suffocated with their parents. That's why both are now studying abroad, Jiyeong's in Korea while her brother's in the US.

• [Jang Donghyun| Father| Restaurant Owner| He's the one whom Jiyeong never really wants to stay near, with all of his expectation and demanding. Though she really respects him. After all, he's the father who spent all the free time teaching her brother and she everything he knows]
• [Ly Phuong Uyen| Mother| Housewife| Jiyeong often spent time with her mother when she was at home. She learnt a lot from her, how to cook, how to do chores, how to sew and fix clothes,.. And even though her  mom's expectation is not anywhere lower that her dad's, Jiyeong's still really close to her, and often call her when she has time]
• [Jang Wooyeong (no, not 2PM's Jang Wooyeong)| Twin Brother| Student| The only one who can truly understand Jiyeong. Like any other pair of twin, Wooyeong and Jiyeong have a lot of things in common, even their ways of thinking are similar too, so they're really close and always protect each other. And though Wooyoung's older, Jiyeong's the one who acts more mature and always taking care of him, while he always cheers her up when she's stressed or tired. Even though they're far from each other now, the twin call each other too often that sometimes the phone bills alone could make them faint]

Choi Jinri (18)

      Jinri is the first friend Jiyeong made when she first came to Korea. They met when Jiyeong just arrived in Korea and got lost when finding her school. Jinri was the only one who's kind enough to stop and help her. Even though Jiyeong's Korean is quite good, she kept speaking *rapping* in all kind of languages while in panic, which resulted to the pair being on street, using all diffirent kind of signals and body language or yelling nonsense to each other. After an hour or so, Jinri gave up and decided to just took 'this poor foreigner' to her home. So that night, for the first time being in a foreign country, Jiyeong spent her time in a stranger's house, while the owner kept asking her as much nonsense questions as possible.

      After that, even though Jiyeong finally found her university and moved to the dorm, the two still keep in touch. Jiyeong now got close with not only Jinri, but also her parents and brothers. She often come to Jinri's house when she has time, helping Jinri with her English (but always end up with them sleeping on the floor after some sessions of gossip or pillow fight) or learn to cook with Jinri and her mother. Jinri's so out-going, active and carefree that she could make the always worried Jiyeong relax so easily, and Jiyeong could truly say that she's never been happy like this before she met her. 

       

                                           

 

Choi Junhong (16)

      Junhong's one of the kids Jiyeong tutors. The boy's not so bright with English, but sure has his way with word in Korean. And even with his mischievous look, Junhong's really sweet and fluffly (and he throws up rainbow somethime \xD/) and Jiyeong always has a huge soft-spot on him. So Junhong's natural aegyo, along with Jiyeong's mother instinct, makes the two seem like mother and son. Jiyeong keeps taking care of him, sometimes even join force with his mother to make him study, when Junhong makes sure he annoys her, in that very cute way of his, as much as possible to make her laugh everytime they met. (which after sometimes makes Jiyeong just wants to cancel all of their tutoring time, he wouldn't study if she keeps laughing anyway)

• [Lee Chaerin| 21| She's Jiyeong's sunbae in university, one looks scary but actually really nice, though her strong personality still scares Jiyeong sometimes]
• [Kim Kibum| 19| Kibum's the real Diva among Jiyeong's friends, alittle bit y and demanding sometimes but nice in the other moments. Though Jiyeong doesn't really like his diva way, shopping and partying all the time, while the boy doesn't fond of Jiyeong serious life either]
• [Yoon Doojoon| 23| Another scary person here, though Jiyeong's quite close to him, having him as the only friend who's approve of her way of living. He's also reminds her of her dad, smart, yet scary and demanding.]

Kim Hyuna (19)

why do you hate each other: Who could make the forever nice Jiyeong annoyed other than the 'friend' who destroyed her kitchen and emptied her credit card anyway? The two were quite close before, but after the credit-card-incident, their relationship's gone worse. Jiyeong realised that she couldn't be nice and trusting people all the time, while Hyuna thought that the 'nice girl' is being stingy and wanting to go against her.

Jang Hyunseung (23)

personality: Pretty much a perfectionist just like Jiyeong. He wants not only himself but everything and everyone around him is perfect. But with his charming look, a lot of girls, and boys, trying to act perfect to get close to him. Most of them failed. He looks nice and harmless, but isn't the one whom you could fool. If you mistreat him, he'll make sure you feel sorry. He's also very realistic, knowing all the bad side of life, he's easily annoyed by too innocent and nice people, though he knows he wants one like that for himself, because after all, he's quite selfish too, he wants to be loved and taken care of more in a relationship.

relationship: The only reason why Hyunseung and Jiyeong know each other is that they have Doojoon as a mutual friend. They didn't talk to each other very much, since both are shy/cold with strangers. Until one day, Doojoon was bored and decided he wanted to be a matcher. His best friend and favorite dongsaeng were the first victims. Thing didn't go well till the 3rd date, when they both nagged till Doojoon's ears go off for the time-consuming 'game' of his. After that the pair started to be more comfortable around each other and became close.

Choi Junhong (16)

 

personality: This boy is a bundle of anything cute and fluffy in this world. He's young , he looks cute, smiles a lot and is polite and romantic than most of boy in his age, yet still have the playful attitude of a young boy. That's why a lot of girls, older, younger or same age,fall for him. Though the boy, being a dreamer he is, still wants to wait longer till his true love comes and makes him fall in love with her in the first sight. He's also a very active kid, who loves all kind of action, from skate boarding, dancing to playing basket ball.

relationship: As said before, Jiyeong and Junhong have the relationship of a teacher and student, and best friends. Though there's something Jiyeong hasn't know, she's the 'one true love' that Junhong keeps looking for: good at English, long hair and pretty smile (that's why the boy came up with the tutor thing anyway). With his playful and outgoing personality, Junhong got Jiyeong open up quite easily, and since then these two've become kind of inseparatable. They talk, joke, study, go out, do almost everything with each other. Junhong always tries to make Jiyeong realise his feeling, spending as much time as possible with her, doing his rare aegyo to her, making her laugh, even forcing her to call him 'oppa', yet the thick headed girl never realise.
