Background: She was born in Incheon, Korea and raised in a wealthy family. Her fater works as a doctor while her mother works as nurse in the same hospital as her father works. He has a brother, who works as a famous singer in SM Entertainment, called DBSK. She got her first education in kindergarten near to their parents's workplace, where she learnt how to write, read and count. After a few years, she finally entered into Kyung-Hee High School and participated in school band. She started singing when she was 2nd year in junior high after she made a performance in front of the students for Teachers Day Celebration. Her friends advised her to take a part in school band when she's entering into a high school soon and some of them recommended to her to take an audition in SM Ent. and be like her brother. Then, her parents discovered her talents and let her to pursue her dreams.

How did you get discover: Through her school band
Trainee history: Her parents and also her brother discovered her talent when her friend recorded her performance for the school charity and showed it to them. Then, her mother called her cousin, Junsu to take her for an audition in JYP Entertainment. But, she rejected his offer and decided to enter in the same entertainment like her brother. After she passed SM Audition, she doesn't get along with all the trainees in SM as she's a shy and only talks when someone asks her a question or asking the direction. After a few months, her brother took a visit to see all the trainees and gives them valuable tips what will happen after they're debut soon and he notices that his sister doesn't get along with the other trainees. As her brother called her name in front of everyone, all the trainees looked at her and shocked that she's DBSK's U-Know Yunho's little sister. From that incident, all the trainees wanted to be her close friend.
