» personality ㅡ Iseul is an upbeat kind of girl but she isn't happy, sunny and cheerful  just someone who is finally content with her life.
She can smile and laugh now that the bad times have passed, but she used to be pensive and stand-offish with people.

After moving to Seoul and becoming a trainee she let go of the things that were keeping her down and she has evolved into the social butterfly she always envied in her youth.

Bright, Ambitious, Focused, Temperamental, Critical and Straight forward, this girl is a devil on stage and a team player off. She cares for her members but she lets them make mistakes, far be it for her to tell them what to do. She likes being in the middle, not the oldest but not the youngest, so she stands back and let's things run as they will.

She has a heavy hand with practice and will tell someone straight up if they've missed a beat, but she won't criticize them, she only does that to herself. She gives open, honest answers and will spare the more sensitive people their feelings by going easy on them. She's like a mom, but thinks she's more of a big sister type than anything. 
She drives herself, training hard even when they have vacations or breaks but she knows how to play too. She's good at planning things out and adding a mix of pleasure to the business end of the deal. She loves outdoor activities and will drag the others with her to stop and smell the roses.

 

» the past ㅡ  Iseul was born an only child to a middle-class family. Her Mother worked two jobs most of her life and her Father was in the construction business. Iseul had a pretty normal childhood, but she was bullied in school and she learned to fight at a young age. Her personality was strong even then and, although she was a quiet child, she could kick if needs be. She was studious and dull, keeping to the back of class rooms and only had a few friends. Her social butterfly status didn't appear until after she was accepted as a trainee.

 When she was twelve her Father was killed in a construction accident and the family was thrown out of their home due to debt. Her Mother took on another job and Iseul also began working part-time after school to help pay rent on a one room apartment in Seoul. Her Mothers job as a delivery person for a florist brought her into the sights of Daewoo groups CEO at a gathering. Iseuls Mother was a beautiful woman and her vivacious interactions with the planner caught his attention (she was cussing him out because he tried to cheat her out of some money for the wreaths she'd delivered). He immediately asked her out and they dated for only five months before marrying.

 At fourteen she had a new Father and they moved into his high rise apartment overlooking Seoul. Iseul was never comfortable living in such a place and her daily life became stained and suffocating. That is when she turned to her dance classes for relief. She had been taking classes at school in music, but her curious nature and an accidental eavesdropping session tuned her into dance. She had overheard two of her classmates talking about this awesome dancer at the boys academy down the road and they were going to sneak over and watch him. She followed and was instantly in love with the movements. She then swallowed her pride and asked to take ballet and modern dance lessons.

 Iseul was a fast study and became adapt at modifying her dance to include the hip hop she'd seen the boy doing. She started thinking about what she wanted in life and came to the realization she could be an idol, like SNSD. She begged for the fees and permission from her Mother but her Step-Father forbid it and Iseul took to working again to save up for the cost. She auditioned twice and was rejected. The next year, after practicing and getting coached, she auditioned again at SM and was accepted but dropped in the final round. After Iseul was found crying in the practice room after hours, the next day she was introduced by her coach to a scout of JYP and they gave her an audition right there on the street in the parking lot of a supermarket.

 The scout made a call and had her pushed through to the last round of auditions at JYP. A week later she had passed and was finally a trainee at sixteen.

 At seventeen she moved out of her Step-Fathers house and lived in a dorm to continue her training. Her Mother had finally relented and let her do as she wished, but her Step-Father told her not to come back begging for money from him.

 She worked hard every day and had to have surgery done on her vocal cords but she came out of it with a smokier voice and more determination than ever to make it.

She used to care for her children but that got swallowed up in the bitterness of life. Sometimes they are good other times they aren't speaking

 

Jin Duk Il 진독일ㅣ65ㅣChaebol/CEO of  Daewoo group ㅣaliveㅣ He is tight fisted and arrogant. Stubborn and set in his ways and he never takes the younger generation seriously. Jerk.ㅣStep-Father} They don't see things eye-to-eye. He is very rude to her and thinks she is wasting time with this singing nonsense. He has tried to marry her off twice to different guys that work in his company. He insists she takes flower arrangement classes and prepare for marriage but she fights him all the way. She avoids seeing him if she visits her mother. He is very critical of her and her life style.
