Kat's Down...

This is rant on a personal opinion >.<" So please, feel free to skip to the very end of it where there's the magical poll where you can vote^^

So, the thing that I'm doing for the last time here on AFF is asking for a review, Yeah, you saw that right! I am human and I make mistakes...a lot of them actually! English is not my first language and I make a lot of grammar mistakes, typos and punctuation and whole other things that I do wrong... But really, when I ask for my story to be reviewed, I expect that the reviewer to correct those mistakes! Not judge the graphic of the story or the effects of it, or the trailer or how I chose to color the writing of the description/foreword/chapters! Ok, this may be annoying to some, but I like turquoise or however you spell that!!!

So, my expectation on reviewing and reviewer? Cut your personal opinion off and give me more about the mistakes I've made through the story! And sorry if my story is not to your liking, but that's not a reason for you to deduct points from the total...that's my opinion at least! So yeah, please do that for your future requesters as I'm never ever going to request again for a review! >.<"

Sorry fireflies if this is once again hitting in your heads, but it annoyed me to the maximum! And as you already know, I'm nowhere near perfection when it comes to writing. I know I have things that need improvement and that's the main reason I request for reviews...but when I see them done like that o.O And maybe I'm at fault for not being able to take in others' opinions on my stories and maybe I should change...but I really, really got annoyed when I read these two reviews! So, if you are interested in what I'm talking here, click on the numbers below and look over the reviews and please, please give me your own opinion on this matter!

1         2

I felt offended more as a person than as a writer o.O

Yeah...Kat's feeling down right now TT^TT...

And please vote in the poll below! CLICK HERE to read the plot bunnies if you haven't already!^^ Thanks!

Unnie, don't be so sad~ It's not your fault that you couldn't take these criticisms by the reviewers you chose. It's not gonna affect you as long as you DON't let it affect your persona. And I don't know where this phrase was from, but it went like this:
"You write for your readers, not for the critics."
So don't be sad, okay? ^^

Breathe Kat, I know you don't always take criticism well. Honestly the reviews weren't that bad and the reviewers are entitled to their own opinions like anyone else. You win some you lose some that's how things go and not everyone has the same tastes.
You probably know better than anyone what your faults are when it comes to writing and grammar. Keep those things in mind and try to work on them. I know you write some of your stuff late at night and you even admitted to me that you make more mistakes then. If you don't already do this I suggest looking back over your writing the next day or whenever you have time to see if there is anything that might need to be fixed.
You write very well and there isn't ever much that needs to be fixed. You should be proud of yourself. Don't let others get you down, alright?
Also there are many kinds of reviews and reviewers out there I suggest 'shopping' around a bit to see if you can find one that might be better suited to what you look for when getting a review.
Love ya lots and don't let these things keep you down! ^^

Um if you want someone to give you feedback on grammar mistakes and such, you should really get a beta...
http://www.asianfanfics.com/story/view/230322/i-d-like-to-buy-a-beta-workshop-proofreading-beta-grammar-betareading-authors
But honestly, that's what reviewers do. That's why they USUALLY post their rubrics so you know what you're being judged on.
ANYWAY when you request a beta, you can tell them what you want to get feedback and be focused on, like more on grammar and less on plot. I'm an intern on there so...^_^
Although the color of the writing: Honestly, some people want to see a fanfic like a published story. I don't know why, but they do. I mean, I never write in color (too lazy to select it haha) but if I read it, I usually don't get ticked off. Unless it's in a color that makes it hard to read it. Then I usually have no patience. But that's why reviewers are reviewers-they're critics, they want professional stuff. And readers will be readers-they're going to spazz about what you're writing, maybe even your colors XD
And that first review, it's really obvious the reviewers skimmed it >.<

I can't really judge reviews simply because I have no idea how that works...
But agreeing to you that some stuff really doesn't need an review on. :P
