I'm sure all of you are aware of the damage sasaeng fans do to our favorite idol singers' lives. Stalking, pestering, assaulting, chasing them... everyone agrees that something needs to be done about this potentially deadly problem that is largely being ignored.

Well, there is a petition my friend showed me. It's petitioning the Korean government to start pursuing and become stricter on sasaeng fans. We hadn't seen any ideas of how to try and work toward a solution for this problem, so this mad us happy. We both put a link on our tumblr pages, tagging it with sasaeng fans and JYJ and Super Junior and DBSK so more people would see it for whom this issue is both well-known and disturbing. When we posted it there were around 50 signatures. Now thanks to it spreading around tumblr a bit, there are a little more than 250 signatures. The goal for this petition to be sent is 5,000 signatures.

So what I'm asking of whoever reads this, is to please go sign that petition, and if you can, put a link to it on your tumblr page, or twitter, or wherever people will see it. I'm not tumblr famous, so if you are, it would be wonderful if you could link it. We just need as many people as possible to see this info and sign, so that the government realizes the issue they've been ignoring is severe enough that a large community of international fans is concerned.
