Review for story: One Year Later

I read an interesting story couple days ago and the author said it's her personal story One Year Later

It's SeoKris story and I am going to review it. Btw, this is my first time writing review in here (or let's say it's a note), so here we go.

1. Once I read the foreword, I can see that the female character, Seohyun has 'strong' aura. And it's true. The first chap said it all. Even nickname was 'miss hard working'. This kind person usually a stubborn one, in a good or bad way :D

2. Her father asked her to meet with one of his student, named Kris. I found it amusing, since most father in this world wouldn't want his daughter have a boyfriend or even just a date and concentrate on the study. But, Seohyun's father suggested her to do that. He must worry that her daughter wasn't enjoying her youth by being in love or at least feel something towards opposite gender. LOL!
I salute her father for what he's done and I could feel they have father-daughter connection that's so warm and sweet.

3. When Seohyun met Kris for the first time, it was the most awkward scene. They were strangers. And there they were, (must) having lunch together, just the two of them. Fortunately, Kris is so well mannered. He's not the playfull or easy going type, but he could handle their 'weird' situation. For two person who just met, they're pretty got along.

4. Seohyun was distracted after she met Kris. She promised herself that boy could wait before. But, love comes anytime it wants. The sensation, the joy, the up & down mood, it's there. And she felt it all.

5. It was obvious that Kris has feeling for Seohyun. The guy even started his move by approaching her family, although he already knew her father. But still, in East culture, especially Asia, this would be good point. Just like when you're going to marry someone, you must 'marry' his/her family too. After all, family are so precious. And also he admitted to her friends that he courted her. He's so brave *thumbs up*

6. Like every other love story in this world, everything didn't go too smooth for them. I pity Kris in here when he must deported back to China. He wanted to keep their good relationship (although not on the love stage yet) and I thought he needed support, but Seohyun just pushed him away. She put her self defense mechanisme too high. I think she's afraid to be hurt or scare that he's not the one. So they went to their own separate way :(

7. Both of them survived in their separation time. But there's business that hasn't done yet. Fate bring back their story again through facebook. Thanks to Mark for that. Hahaha :))  I literally cried when read the messages that sent by Kris to Seohyun. For almost a year, he didn't give up to write to her. Eventhough it's obvious that she didn't reply any single of it.

September 19, 2011: Hello Hyun, it's me again, happy birthday to me.
Ask me about my wish:
I wish you're here beside me with a chocolate cake as a present. Demanding much? I'm just kidding. But for reals, I wish I could go back there so I can spend my birthday there with you even without a chocolate cake. And one more thing, I wish you're still single up to now.

This is the one that I love the most. Birthday is something special for a person, especially the birthday one. He sent his message, hoping something that so simple yet special from Seohyun. But, no answer or any reply. Could you imagine how it felt? T_T

8. Thank God, everything could be fixed. When Kris returned to Korea, he still wanted to see Seohyun. By that time Seohyun realized that she closed her heart too tight. She never had a boyfriend on the separation time,  and I'm sure Seohyun saves her heart for Kris :D :D  So, when they meet again ... all hell breaks loose. They reunited again officially (I hope so :D).  ANd one more time, the loving family support them fully unconditionally.

9. About the plot & storyline, it went smoothly. You could understand every characters in here easily from the conversation they had. Both Seohyun & Kris are the conventional type, both reserved too. Her family and friends (even her supervisor) were really supportive. I am not going to talk about grammar and all, since I'm not good in English (forgive me for that).

I think that's all that I could review. This is just what I thought. CMIIW. Thank you ^_^

I dedicated this for my lovely dongsaeng, Elyse. Way to go, girl!

PS: Everyone have their own love story. Some have the happy ending, some have the sad ending. It's your choice to 'write' your own love story. My best advice, just follow your heart. If you have a sad ending today, you may have your happy ending someday. Believe it!
