I don't what to say ...

So I heard Papa YG is debuting

a new girl group while 2NE1

is promoting 'I Love You'

Uhm, too me i think that's a bit unfair.

Why?

'Cause .. well 2NE1 is a well known group

& the new girl group won't deserve the light they

derseve cause 2NE1 is also promoting at the same

time and they will 'steal' the light from them.

Another thing, why is 2NE1 only performing on

one show? SBS INKIGAYO. Like, there are

more variety shows either than

that one. Papa YG has to use the other

t.v programns to promote not only 2NE1 but

BigBang.

I mean, they won't deserve the praise they deserve

'cause there always on the same show! Like, do you

really think that everybody is going to tune in

on SBS Inkigayo just to watch 2NE1 perform the same

song? I mean... i would. But, maybe others won't.

Also, why can't they be on those fun shows?

Like, where they don't have to sing all the damn

time & can just be fun?

Our girls work to hard.

Same for BB.

Another thing, i don't think YG properly promotes

his solo artists. Like Se7en? his comeback was okay,

but maybe im just saying that cause im not a really

big fan of se7en. But honestly, i think people

forgot he ever had a comeback.

As for Gummy, she has released one song

this year with Bobby Kim & that's it.

Not even any promotion stuff.

PSY got lucky in my eyes.

His song has recieved a whole lotta praise.

& im proud of him for that.

But ... YG can't keep "throwing things in the dark"

and just hoping that the songs will recieve the attention it needs & the band will just

be okay.

He needs to step up & give them that extra push sometimes.

They just work to hard to let it all go to waste.

Papa YG, please equally promote each artist

and think a little with the new girl group.

This is coming from someone who adores YG & YG family.

I just don't know what to say ...

~

Well, aaonhh pretty much said everything that was needed to be said.

And usually when artists from the same company comeback around the same time, they are each give a time frame. Take a look at SM for example. Earlier this year Exo debuted, then a few weeks later Shinee made a comeback, then a few weeks later TTS started promoting, then f(x) comeback, then Super Junior comeback, then BoA comeback,... so basically they give each of their artists a time frame. They will rarely have their own artists competing against each other.

I'm sure YG wouldn't have his own artists competing against each other either...

Also, the artists within YG are pretty much all different genre. Yes, Big Bang and 2NE1 have similar sounds which is why they have never promoted around the same time. Which is why I think G-Dragon will start promoting later this month while 2NE1 will not promote until late October. Epik High is more old school hip hop. SuPearls will be more like R&B. The new girl group will be more like modern hip hop. So even if their promotions end up overlapping, they are different enough to stand out and not be compared to one another.

7)Gummy’s and Bobby Kim’s Love Recipe song lacked promotions because it was just an OST. And YG doesn’t tend to promote OST at all from what I remember.
8) Psy didn’t luck out, he’s been an established, well known singer in korea for A LONG TIME. A lot of people take this as a misconception because he wasn’t exposed to the kpop scene until recently when he joined YG. But in fact, Psy is such a big artist WAY before Big Bang’s time. If anything, he’s more of the JinuSean and 1TYM era. The reason he sort of faded out of the music scene is because in 2002 he had a scandal. :/ But yeah, PSY has some great stuff even before his YG era.
Sorry if this is long, but I hope I answered most of your questions. But yeah, I also agree that YG is sorta throwing things in dark with all his artists’ debuts and comebacks all squished together at the end of the year.

5)2ne1 doesn’t get casted for typical tv programs because they admitted in an interview that they feel awkward and are not comfortable. They said that if the fans truly wanted to see how 2ne1 acts and who they really are, is to tune onto 2ne1tv. Bom said that 2ne1tv truly shows who they are because they feel completely comfortable and at ease with their OWN show. But also, they’ve been on a few shows before. Big Bang on the other hand has been on lots (compared to 2ne1) of tv programs. Dae sung was part of family outing. Top was casted in a drama. Seungri currently has his own tv series airing in japan. And I mean, Big Bang had their own documentary even before their debut! LOL
6)I also do agree and feel that se7en’s comeback was ehh. But I think it had to do more with the response of the public rather than the artist’s output. As of now, and as of back then, out of all the YG artists, Se7en is the one who YG focuses more with over the seas promotions. He was the first to promote in Thailand! In addition, his Japanese promos and American Promos were focused A LOT more than big bang and 2ne1’s first promos in japan.

2)With the confirmation of GD's album, as well as the affairs of YG concerts (held typically at the end of each year annually), and 2ne1's concert, it would also seem that YG would most likely take action and release 2ne1's album and continue on their unfinished promotions until around October. Why? Because their tour won't end until September 29-30 (their last tour dates).
3) You can't really jump to assumptions and say that the new trainees preparing for their debut doesn't deserve the 'light.' Looking at YG and his amazing family of talented artists, actors, and producers it's evident that YG looks for talent. Through the YG stans fanbase the saying goes is that YG Papa looks for talent over looks anyways. I mean, from what I hear from other fandoms, it's true. And furthermore, like any other major company in korea with an established successful pop group, it's no surprise that their jr. groups will ride off some of their fame.
4) The reason why 2ne1 only performed on inkigayo is because of YG’s drama with KBS. As a result, YG artists don’t participate on music bank.

Ummm...I'll explain some of the reasons behind YG Papa's motives. And I hope it clears up a few of your questions :)
1) Starting off, YG entertainment will not be promoting their new girl groups in the midst of 2ne1's I Love You Promotions.2ne1 just had their goodbye stage on inkigayo and are currently busy with their world tour. (As well as preparations for their second world tour next year and their album comeback.) In addition, SuPearls and YG's other confirmed girl group has not established a firm debut date but rather announced an estimated time frame for their debut. Even if YG stated that the two groups shall debut before the end of 2012, it is most likely that the groups will either A)have their debut pushed back again (which is most likely) or B)release the member's teasers first or have them perform on a stage, and release the group's song & mv much later (Like five years in Tae Yang's case). This also occurred with CL, Bom, Dara, GD, and Tae Yang during their trainee days.
