It was reported today that Justin Bieber reached out to PSY, following the immense popularity of the “Gangnam Style” music video.

“We haven’t discussed anything serious yet. But it is true that Justin Bieber’s representative first contacted us,” PSY’s representative told local media.

It’s hard to guess what really prompted Bieber’s staff to contact PSY at this point. But local media is interpreting the move as a possible joint single or future collaboration in the making. PSY’s “Gangnam Style” music video unexpectedly went viral last week and has been one of the most watched online videos in the U.S.

In particular, top celebrities such as T-Pain, Robbie Williams, and Josh Groban mentioned the video on Twitter, while Gawker, the Huffington Post, and CNN provided coverage of the MV.

Also, due to the sudden global recognition, PSY will keep the “Gangnam Style” title for his Japanese single, which was initially planned to change to “Rokbonki Style” in order to suit the local taste.

all i can say is DFUQ?!!!  i mean i love kpop but psy and JB? is this a nightmare? i know JB is big in america and like kpop he has legions of fangirls that is willing to swallow what nonesence he spew. 

Psy oppa is something different! he may not be legend like seo tai ji or shinhwa but heck Psy oppa is PSY! i mean he is what the ahjussi and ahjhuma represent. he is cool in an ajhussi kind of way, He is accepted by the public like that! Gangnam style is great! it is hilariously great.It's vibrant and colorful and fun to watch! It is not your typical KPOP but nevertheless it is distinctly korean. 

How many cross over have wee seen where in the things that we liked were change to fit in the western standard? Se7en, Boa, Utada Hikaru, wondergirls. they tried to cross over to fit the american taste but to no avail. I just hope if there ever are any works between JB and Psy oppa, YG stands ground in branding PSY as PSY! Psy is a great musician, he has great songs, i hope he stays that way. I just wish Psy oppa wont sell out.
