Personality: Staying true to her nickname, Bomi is the type of girl who's personality is always bright, refreshing and sunny. Hating to see people down, Bomi would go out of her way to cheer someone up and would even do something embarrassing just to make them laugh. She is a true friend and the go to person for advice. On the other hand, Bomi is a bit of a perfectionist. She always always has to do everything the right way or she'll put hehrself down for it. She blames herself for the group's mistakes since she is not the strongest dancer either. Being a perfectionist gives sweet and sensible Bomi a competitive edge and also makes her extremely sensitive.

Background: Born and raised in Busan, Bomi had humble beginings. She lived in a single family household with a mother and older sister who struggled to make ends meet. Growing up, Bomi had a passion for singing like no one else. She enjoyed listening to American r and b artists like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Lauryn Hill and dubbed them as her main inspirations. When her family noticed this talent of Bomi's, they pushed her to expand on it, working double shifts to pay for the girl's lessons. She won many contests and was in every singing group in school but that was not enough for Bomi. In middle school, Bomi's mother took out most of the girl's college savings so she could travel to Seoul and stay there for a while to live with her aunt and audition for music companies. Bomi's big break came when she audition for SM for a few months and then switched to Pledis. Nothing would ever be the same for her again.

How did you get into Pledis Entertainment?: In Seoul, Bomi was auditioning for several entertainment companies and came across SM. She was accepted as a trainee and trained there for 8 months but due to a trainee switch, Bomi was placed into Pledis where she trainee for an additional 3 years.
