The Water Bender

Personality: 

She's a polite and shy individual. Due to her father's constant teasing, she keeps quiet to avoid any potential embarrassments. She's calm in drastic situations and is always bearing a smile. She can be firm at situations but lenient to the people who deserves the second chance. But she does not like people taking advantage of her lenience. She's a fair level-headed person and doesn't mind lending an ear to your worries, so much to the point that people think she is a psychiatrist. She matures faster then the kids her age mostly because of her father's personaility to her and her mother's resentment on her decisions. She believes that everyone should choose their decisions and way of life and is against her tribe's culture. She finds it unfair for your life's path decided by other people. Thus, she rebels against her mother and tribe with support from her father. 

Due to her mother's surpressing personality in her life, Kira grew up to be a more reserved character. She will keep to herself but will allow you to express yourself to her. Just by nodding her head, you feel ensured by her. She gives out this aura of finalizing a decision in a meeting and can easily persuade you in doing the right things (without knowing it herself). But despite being a rebel to her mother, she feels paranoid should you involve her in a 'crime' (coughcough Pranks coughcough). She is easily involved in embarrassing moments, a prospect that teases her to no end. 

She's compassionate, thus is a natural born passive person. Her fighting techniques are more of avoiding and immobilizing her enemies. She hates to injure her enemies and will go thru lengths to heal anybody at anytime at anywhere. Underneath her calm and polite demeanor, she let's people know that she is not one to be taken lightly off. She is really patient in doing her tasks and doesn't mind taking her time. She's not one to mess up in a mission so you can count on her to do the important tasks in mission.

If not; She spotted Kira training her waterbending at night whilst everyone was asleep. Kira at it badly but she persevered. Liking Kira's attitude, Min helped her by teaching the proper way to do the water whip. Kira messed up and ended whipping Min's buttock. Min pulled a slight tantrum and Kira apologized frquently. Min relaxed and told Kira to practice more often. Enlightned and suddenly motivated my Min, Kira practised hard and swore to improve more on her bending.

How you act around eachother: Kira thinks of Min like a Mistress. She's the Mistress and Kira's the loyal 'butler'. She will follow Min loyally and will always speak politely towards her. Min hates the way Kira treats her, and teases her to loosen up on the politeness. Kira is usually the one who has to cover up Min's pranks but she doesn't mind. Kira thinks of Min as though Min is her surrogate mother.

Background: Born after Torra and Kinto, given the name of Kiara. Because she was born in the Northern Tribe, her mom strongly supports the customs. Kiara finds it very suffocating growing up surpressed into her mother's orders, thus she rebels. She hates living in the tribe mainly because of the tribes prejudice on women learning waterbending for healing only. So, when Kovu was born three years after her, she was determined to support his decisions in life. This is usually the cause of conflict between her mother and her. Thus, Kira grew with a strained relationship with her mother and became more independent in dealing with her own problems. Kira knew her mother means well but Kira wanted to prove to her mother that she can make her own choices. 

When she turned 8, Kira was taught the art of healing, despite her protests to learn from Pakku. So, Kira will spy on the boys at Pakku's Waterbending Academy and will try to figure out on her own how to bend a few waterbending techniques. She first saw Kai there and developed a small crush on him. Unfortunately, she accidentally tripped and spilled a jug of cold water she was holding onto him when he passed her. Before Kai could explode in anger at her, Kira meeked out a fast apology and escaped the scene. That was the only memory she had situated with him. She learned on her own some of the basics of waterbending after observing the lessons but was found out by her mom. Angry, her mom forbid Kira from using her waterbending other then learning to heal but her father encouraged Kira to continue learning. Together, he taught her a little bit and Kira started to escalate well on her waterbending techniques. But, he couldn't teach her the Iceberg spike and so left her to learn on her own. That's when she met Min. She soon rose up to be a capable waterbender.

[Park Torra || 38 || Mother || Nonbender || She cares for Kira and wishes her to become a healer. She thinks its for the best if Kira stops training waterbending techniques for battle. Kira loves her mother but wishes for her to understand that she wants to follow her own decisions and not hers.]

[Park Kinto || 39 || Father || Waterbender || He's slightly proud of his family and loves to tease Kira. Kira feels most close with his dad then her mom. He encourages Kira to follow her dreams and ambitions. He's a little to loud for Kira but she loves him just the same.]

[Park Kovu || 14 || Brother || Waterbender || He's a typical goody two shoes 'Mummy's Boy'. He has a hard time expressing himself but with Kira's help, he starts to improve. Kovu looks up to Kiara as a role model and surrogate mother. He is timid to voice out his decisions to his mother and is scared to get on her bad side.]

 

Signature Technique for water: Iceberg Spike. She uses them to either knock them out of freeze thme in it.

 

Everyone Has Enemies

Rival: [Kai || 18 || Ex-Student of Min, Current Student of Pakku]

How you met: Kai was a student of Min for a few years before learning with Pakku. Kira first saw Kai at the Academy visiting his friend and she developed a small crush on him. Kai did not get a good look on Kira when she spilled water on him so he did not recognize Kira.  After Min accepted Kira as her subordinate, Kai bullied Kira. Kira stayed passive but Kai ordered a duel. They dueled together and Kai was winning. Kai ordered Kira to accept her weakness and angry at the thought of being weak, Kira performed a Iceberg Spike at him. Shocked, Kai deserted Min's teachings and left to be taught under Pakku. Kai now jeers everytime they meet but Kira is convinced that the both of them have a love/hate relationship. Kai was mean to her but Kira didn't show any hostilement to him. It was fun seeing him so frustrated. Her feelings to him now is mor of distant friends instead of crush (Maaaybe... ;D).
