Background History: Mayumi's mom is Japanese, her father Korean. She was born in Japan, but moved to Seattle when she was eight. She later found she had a passion for singing and auditioned for SM through a Global Audition. When she made it into the company, she moved to Korea with her dad after her parents divorced.
