"Are you a K-Pop fan?"

I don't know why but sometimes  I am wonder....some people just do not feel ashamed with labels.

Labels such as :

"He likes guitar. He is that way"

"He loves guns, see, that's just him !"

"She's ELF btw"

And somehow, I am not comfortable with labels.

Though throughout my adolesence , somehow people labeled me even though I don't want it.

One of the proudest label I had was "the moffatts fan girl", nah that's something I am not ashamed of since I was ! And still, btw.

But somehow my love for K-Pop seems...weird and out of place. SOme people even laughed at my cellphone accesories (it's SHINee btw).

So, yesterday when it was really hot...I pulled out my notebook and started to use it as fan. While I was doing it, my friend saw that book and looked at me with an incredulous looked.

Okay, so my notebook was nice....nice in "i used SHINee poster to use it as book wrapper" nice sort of thing.

So when he saw that, SHINee poster and all , he screamed,"Oh my God, are you a K-pop fan?". That tone made me blush.

Why? Why ? Is it so wrong to love SHINee? SO..bless you all to have friends that shares your love and interest as I am such a lone SHAWOL. sigh....

I totally understand. It's embarassing to say you're a Kpop fan in a country where it's not popular. I'm just considered to have an 'asian ' because I like dramas and anime too...some people seem to forget just how big Asia really is and all the things that are in it haha. At least he knew who they were! Most people in America don't even know Kpop exists....
