Minhye always likes to wear anything in season/style. Though, she prefers casual clothing like: wedges, flats, converses, graphic tees, skirts, skinny jeans, and denim shorts. She doesn't like to wear anything too revealing, such as short skirts or short shorts unless its for special occasions like swimming or going to the beach.

❇Life❇

 

Personality:

Minhye was considered one of the best dressed, best social skills, and sometimes 'adorable' accidental aegyo. She always wants to look her best, being extremely self-conscious. When she first meets someone she isn't familiar with/is older then her, then she'd be a shy girl with a tiny voice. With friends, she instead can be the loudest, funniest, most careless one of the group. A motto that she always went by: "Put others before yourself." She would always fulfill other people's wishes before her own, even if the wish includes opposing against her own wants. For this, one of her nicknames became 'Ella', coming from the story of the cursed obedient girl, "Ella Enchanted". When she's frustrated, tired, bored, or thinking, she'd sometimes do aegyo by accident, such as pouting and puffing out her cheeks. 

Two words that describes her: Lazy and Careless. Minhye always waits until the last minute to do everything (unless it includes something that interests her): school work, cleaning things up, and sometimes even shopping. She's super careless, not caring about what the teacher was saying, that her room is the messiest place in the world, where she left her pencil, etc. Even though she's careless and lazy (usually ending up with a messed up place), she's a neat freak when someone sees her things. Before anyone comes over, she would quickly tidy things up, making it look brand new. 

In a way, Minhye is a sensitive girl, but she always holds in her emotions and wears a mask of happiness on top of it. She hates it when someone nags at her, tells her to do things, reminds her of things she already knows. Normally she'd hold it in, but if the nagging intensifies, she'd snap with harsh words. The words would then result into a fight, and when the cursings start coming, she'd stop and the tears would start coming, adding that she'd either stay silent for 3 days or she'd disappear for a while. There's a few times when she starts nagging herself, and when she notices she does, she would bite her hand and curse herself for doing so, saying a quick apology with the formal bow.

A childhood activity that she always loved to do was daydreaming. She daydreamed about moving to Seoul one day and becoming a famous oil painting artist, about having a family with husbands and children, hanging out with friends from her past, and basically everything about her future. Her love for acrylic art started out small, but as she daydreamed more, the more interested she became and she began working hard for it, completely not having time to even daydream about it when she bought supplies and painted. At times when she's tired from working/school, she'd sneak out during night and go to nightclubs. Yes, she's a party girl with a high drinking tolerance. There's always a few friends that stay at the nightclubs, so she doesn't feel alone there.

Minhye loves to shop: To buy art supplies, clothes, accesories (she loves 'em), and even food. Even though she loves to buy things, she always remembers to save money and not be selfish by buying a lot of things for herself. When she wants something expensive (which is most of the time), she'd ask herself if the price is valuable, how it might help others, if she'd continue using it often, and if she needs it. If just one answer has a no or maybe, she wouldn't buy it. Sometimes, even if all answers are yes, she still wouldn't buy it. 

 

Background:

After her parents wed, Minhye's family moved from place to place all within at least 2 months, due to financial reasons: from Busan to Yangsan, Yangsan to Ulsan, Ulsan to Gyeonju, and from Gyeonju back to Busan. For that, her family made many close friends along the way. When her family finally settled into Busan for half a year, Minhye was born. She lived a normal life with a soft spot for any kinds of art: Music; painting; photography; and sculptures. When she really became interested in it, she was about to graduate primary school. With the help of her family, she was invited to a well-known art middle school at the edge of Daegu. She then moved there with her parents alone, often visiting Busan for her family. Thankfully, she wasn't made fun of for the Busan dialect she had for the first few weeks of attending the school. Instead, she adapted to Daegu quickly and can even speak the Daegu dialect well, so she used it instead and made quite a lot of friends.

Family members:

Seo Min Guk/54/History Teacher/Alive/He talks in a loud and hoarse voice, seemingly stern and strict to others. But in reality at home when it's just family, he's the most talkative with his stories about his students, his jokes, and even playing volleyball with Minhye occasionally.

Lee So Jin/52/Author/Alive/She likes to talk about a lot of different stories, being an author. She's the typical housewife, cooking, taking care of the kids, cleaning, etc., except with a side job as an author. She always supports her family helping others before herself, also teaching Minhye one of her mottos: "Put others before yourself."

 

Best Friends:

Lee Jieun (IU)/19 (internationally)/Coffee shop waitress/She's a good friend that always sticks by your side and would listen to all your problems and secrets, and your trust would be safe with her. Even though she seems silent and innocent, she actually has a bubbly, cute, and outgoing personality. Her voice easily comforts someone, being smooth and cute.

Kim Kibum (Key)/21/Artist (regular drawing)/He's the typical umma, with all the nagging. On the other side, he can also be a good shoulder to lean on when you're depressed, because even though his words may be too blunt and in fact hurt more, his comfort, presence, and voice is enough (at least, to Minhye it is).

Friends:

Lee Jaejin/21/Songwriter/He's a great person to call outside and just hang out and have fun. His words contain numerous laughters, and he acts flirtatious without meaning to. He treats Minhye like his own sister, and the feelings are mutual.

Jung Eunji/19/Photographer/A friend from Busan that came along with Minhye to the art school. She's loud and bold, not afraid of what others think of her. 

Byun Baekhyun/20/Dancer/Always likes to use his aegyo and he brushes everything off easily, so he holds no grudges in life towards others.

Shin Sekyung/22 (international)/Artist/Sekyung was one of the queenkas that was full of herself and spread all kinds of rumors and gossips around the school. One of the rumors was: "Seo Minhye got plastic surgery just so she would get attention from looking like Ga In." Minhye was immedietely angered by this, as many people pointed at her and whispered things like: "She's a fake!" and "What an attentionwhore!". One day, Minhye went up to Sekyung and her group, demanding why she was saying this. Sekyung balantly rolled her eyes and whispered, "Stop acting like your all that." before she dumped her glass of juice on herself, placing the glass beside Minhye, screaming, "Seo Minhye! What did I do to you? Why are you treating me like this?" and Sekyung sobbed, being a great actor. Minhye was speechless, as glares were directed toward her and she was shunned by a lot. Ever since, many students would whisper curses towards Minhye as Sekyung would smirk at her and give her an evil glance- and oh how much Minhye wished she could rip her to shreds. Only Minhye's close friends would believe that none of Sekyung's words were true.

Love interest: SHINee's Kim Kibummie~ ouo

 

Age: Will be 22 (internationally; 1991/09/23)

 

Personality: 

He has the habit of taking care of others often, doing all the things a mother does- including nagging. Always blunt and frank, he'd say whatever is on his mind without a bit of shame. He accidentally insults others with his mouth of his, even though sometimes he speaks the most intelligent and helpful words. He gets in fights easily with others, especially Minhye, because of how he believes he is right (and in Minhye's case, it's the nagging). Key is a neat freak, everything needs to be in place, and not a single speck of dust would be allowed. He eats a lot too, even though it may not seem like it so he has to control himself often when eating. He also gets angered (he shows it in a funny way) easily, and holds a grudge at times.

OTL getting lazy since I haven't slept since in 24 hours. =^= But the rest is the same as the friends section~

How did you meet?:

After the incident with Sekyung, Minhye ran from the school building to the school gardens in tears, hiding in a spot behind a bush of mugunghwa. Apparently, the almighty Key was also nearby, watching a new girl group performance. When the sounds of Minhye's sobs reached his ears, he saw her sitting behind the flowers, "Why are you crying?" he had asked, a hand on his hip. Minhye wiped her tears quickly, "I'm not crying." to which she got, "Yah, lying is only for cowards. Tell me what happened." And so, the first sentence became one of Minhye's mottos; "Lying is only for cowards." Minhye had then spilled everything that had happened, bursting into more tears as Key nicely comforted her in his arms. Ever since then, Key stood by Minhye's side, nagging at her to put things neatly all the while using his death glare to who ever whispered things towards her.

How do you act around each other?: 

Minhye easily gets annoyed by Key's nags, so they always have an occasional fight that ends with both just staying completely silent or hugging each other and apologizing for what was said and done. Even so, Minhye trusts Key a lot, and she isn't afraid of saying anything wrong, because he'd understand.

Key isn't so much different with Minhye either. He trusts her completely, feeling the need to protect her from the rumors other people give her. Never blaming her for things she says, never getting mad at her for unreasonable things. Occasionally, they'd skip some boring classes (who likes mathematics anyways?) together and take walks, drink coffee, and basically everything during the time.

 

Back-up lover: EXO-K's Bacon Byun Baekhyun

 

Age: 20 (1992/05/06)

 

Personality: 

Baekhyun hates it when someone calls him Bacon (something Minhye always does), but otherwise, there's not really anything he opposes about. He's very sociable and is actually one of the smaller kingkas at school. He does aegyo often for fun, and always seems like he's in a hyper mood. He considers every problem in life just a bump in the road, so we should brush it off and move on, adding to the fact that he's always alright with everything and doesn't worry about things.

How did you meet?: 

Minhye met Baekhyun at the coffee shop IU worked at. They were chatting with each other while IU worked, sometimes helping her out by serving the tables when Baekhyun appeared and struck his aegyo when he didn't have enough money to pay for his drink. Minhye was a er for cuteness, so she paid for his drink. He thanked her for it (bonus aegyo), and they became quite great friends, an occasional walk in the park for fun.

How do you act around eachother?:

They exchange aegyo at times, laughing at each other's stupidity and joking a lot. There's barely any moment of silence around them; it's always filled with their laughters and voices.

Desired art your character specializes in: Oil Painting

 

A short paragraph about what your desire art is:

Oil painting has different techniques, such as using charcoal or thinned paint, and using not just brushes, but also rags and palette knives. It stays wet longer then most other paintings, allowing the painter to add some touches or change the color. Most oil paintings aren't considered dry until 60-80 years old. 

Minhye took an interest to it when she saw the Mona Lisa when she was 7 years old, wanting to draw a masterpeice too with the new kind of art that includes a lot of different kinds of methods she could make herself. She found it interesting with how some points were pointed out, not completely dry, and how it had a more classical look.

How long has your character been practicing this? 

Since she was 8 years old, so about 13 years.
