Personality: When JongGi was born he had always been a quiet and independent child. JongGi would always help with house chores, but then he stopped when his dad died. Instead he took up the responsibility of earning money in the household. JongGi does what needs to be done if it is required. He doesn't like talking unless it is also nessesary. In school he was known for his cool and caring personality. He always helps people in need, since he feels that it is a responsibility. He knows when to stop and when to start, but he keeps walking forward as to not be left behind. He makes sure if everyone else is okay before caring for himself. When he is exhausted he doesn't show it. Although he is quiet most of the time, he can actually be talkative. If he feels the that the topic they are talking about is comfortable to him then he will talk. JongGi is responsible and caring.
Background: JongGi was born in LA, California during his parents vacation. When he was born JongGi didn't cry as much as the other children, you could even say he barely cryed at all. The Jong in his name stands for quiet while the Gi stands for foundation. At the age of 8 months he began to walk, when he fell he wouldn't cry and instead he would just stand. A week later they had introduced JongGi to their friend's daughter Amber. That was when the duo AJ started. They became friend very quickly. Although JongGi wasn't as quiet as he usually was, he was still pretty quiet. Amber always brought up the mood though. She suggested that they should play games or something. Amber dragged JongGi outside and shoved a basketball into his hands. JongGi was completely confused, but he saw a basket in front of him, so he shot the basketball at the basket and it went in. The duo began to play sports with each other.
When JongGi turned 9 the family had decided to move to South Korea. He said bye to Amber and they both promised that one day they would see each other. JongGi had adjusted to Korea fairly well and was currently improving his Korean. 2 years later they figured out he had cancer. When the doctor said there was a 50% chance of survival they all agreed. A few days later the surgery began, but the next day he died. JongGi and his mother were completely shocked. For a few days his mother was still shocked, so he comforted her many times. The hospital bills were expensive and they still had to pay for a funeral. JongGi took the money that was saved up for college and vacation, and paid for the funeral an most of the hospital bill.
JongGi then took up a few part time jobs so he and his mom could pay for eating expenses and other bill. He would wake up early and deliver newspapers for everyone in the neighborhood and then after school he would work at a convenience stor until 10. On Sundays he worked at the library from 8am to 12pm. At 1 to 2 was a lunch break, so he would eat anything cheap. For the next 3 hours he would study for school, making sure that he doesn't fall behind. Right before he goes home everyday he drops by his mom 's family's flower store and picks up 1 light pink rose and 1 dark pink rose. The dark pink one means gratitude, while the light pink one means joy. When he gets home he greets his mom and hands her the 2 roses.

Family Background: JongGi's parents had met while his dad was in South Korea for training. He met he when he was buying flowers as a hello gift to his family. He was immediately enchanted by her beauty and personality. Each day he would come and buy 1 thornless rose that was lavender colored. Both of them knew the meaning of this rose... Love at first sight. A week later he changed the rose color to peach, which meant Let's get together. Hana then replied by giving him a rose that was yellow with red tips, which meant falling in love. A month later Jarred and Hana were happily together. Jarred told Hana that in a few days he would be going back to the US. On the day he left he said nothing, but he left one rose on her bed. It was the color pink, which meant perfect happiness. Hana then smiled, but then she wondered why wasn't it a red rose instead. She then confirmed to herself, he probably never even thought of continuing the relationship once he returned to the US. 1 year later she found one single red rose at the front of he apartment that said, Did you miss me? While his parents were on vacation in Cali, his mom had given birth to him. His parents had decided that they would stay in the US for awhile. JongGi is an only child.
