Personality (with bad and good, nobody's perfect; be descriptive!) :

I’m very hyper and outgoing, but very naive at times. I pour my heart into everything I do, so when something doesn't work out, I easily put blame on myself. I’m the type to show up first and leave last, especially with training. Because of this, I often neglect her health and sometimes I have to be dragged home. I’m extremely serious about my dancing, to the point of being compared to a drill sergeant by my friends. I usually think with my heart instead of my head, which causes her a lot of heartbreak early on. I can be a tad over emotional, due to my perfectionist personality. It's not easy to make me angry, but when pushed, I have a nasty temper that only a few people can deal with. I’m extremely stubborn and sometimes I have to be yelled out in order to see reason. I do have my diva moments from time to time, I mean Heechul oppa and I are cousins after all! When I'm in front of an important audience, like anything that could make or break my career, I take Heechul's advice to heart "appearance is key" so I try to look my best. But when I'm with friends, I go back to casual wear.

Likes (5+ with descriptions) :

I like bulgogi, but the meat has to be cooked perfectly. I usually eat a lot of it, so I feel guilty when people offer to pay for me.

I love banana milk, I simply cannot function without drinking it at least once a day.

Flowers: I simply love the calming feeling I get when I’m surrounded by them. I prefer Oriental lilies the most. But I love looking up the significance of different flowers.

Dancing: It’s always been a favorite thing to do literally since I could walk on my own. Although I’m good with freestyle and mainstream dancing, I prefer ballroom style the most.

Dolphins: I love the water and when we would go swimming in the Philippines, there would always be dolphins alongside us.

Dislikes (5+ with descriptions) :

I dislike indecisiveness, mainly because I’m impatient.

I don’t like it when people don’t take things seriously, especially when it comes to dancing.

I’m not a fan of horror movies, so don’t expect me to ever go watch one unless you want your hand squeezed to death.

I hate it when people complain about unnecessary things. For example, complaining that your parents won’t buy you a new upgraded phone when you already have one that works fine.

I don’t like cockroaches, they just creep me out. If you ever hear me scream, it’s probably because there’s a cockroach in the room.

Fears (3+ with descriptions) :

Thunder: When I was little, there was a storm and a tree hit part of our house. It’s traumatized me so much that whenever there’s a serious storm, I have to crawl in my bed in order to feel safe.

I’m always afraid of disappointing my family, especially my grandmother since she’s so traditional, I’m afraid she won’t approve of me becoming an idol. I want to make them proud of me.

I have a fear of snakes, simply because I watched a scary movie when I was little about them. I literally run the opposite direction if I ever see a snake.

Hobbies (4+ with descriptions) :

Composing music, usually I do it alone, but if it’s with a friend I prefer Seohyun. I write about subjects that mean something to me, so expect songs about my feelings or past experiences.

Cooking: It was one of my favorite things to do with my mother when I was little. I prefer to cook for a lot of people, especially friends and family. I try to make a diverse meal, so I study different types of cuisine.

Reading: Not cheesy romance novels that most would associate with me, but long series. I prefer mystery or fantasy novels. My all-time favorites are Harry Potter and A Song of Ice and Fire series. When I have a book in my hands, it means do not disturb me.

Making Jewelry: I like to make charm bracelets and earrings the most. When I get to travel, I like to find unique items to make jewelry out of. For all my best friends, I weave friendship bracelets in their favorite colors and put two charms on it, one that represents them and one that represents me. Although some people who want more *cough* Heechul-oppa * cough* get 2-3 charms that represent themselves.

When I’m really bored, I nod my head from side to side and puff my cheeks out.

When I’m nervous, I tend to pace and try to shake my arms. If I’m really nervous I jump up and down and have panic attacks.

When I’m confused, I scrunch up my face and put my head in my hands.

Background (what's your life before becoming an official member, your status, born in...) :

I was born in Los Angeles, California, but we lived in Calabasas, a suburban area nearby. We had an upper middle class lifestyle due to my parents occupations. My father specialized in general surgery and my mother had a private practice and gained a good reputation as a lawyer. Because of this good lifestyle, we always had money to visit our families abroad every summer. During one of these visits, I went with my Uncle to visit Heechul-oppa at SM. While we were there, I got a few looks and was eventually asked to audition right then and there. I sang The Lights of Seoul by BoA and I got a call the next day saying I was accepted. I was hesitant about leaving home to stay in Korea permanently, but Heechul-oppa convinced me to stay, saying that he'll always be there for me. But not long after, my parents decided to move to Seoul to support me. My father quickly found a job at a local hospital, due to my grandfather having a few friends in the medical field. But since my mother's Korean wasn't fluent enough yet, she couldn't find a job as a lawyer right away. But she studies every night so that she improves. Although we had a lot of money saved up, I'm always worrying about what will happen if our savings decline, so my dream to become a star turned into a dream to support my family. This is why I take my training so seriously as my parents sacrificed a lot for me to achieve my dream and for us to remain the close family we are.

Although there were a lot of trainees that had less training than I did, they debuted earlier. This made me insecure about my own talents and pushed me even more to train harder. Although Heechul-oppa says anything I do will only make him look better, his own attempt at a joke, I feel pressured since he's a popular idol.

Father: Kim Minwoo || 50 || Doctor || He pretty much spoils me since I’m his only daughter. We’re extremely close. He’s very overprotective, especially when it comes to guys. He's strict when he has to be, when he call me Yuri instead of Mira, I know something's wrong. Apparently, he's a prodigy in the medical field. It's kinda hard for me to understand that since he's such a goof in real life. If you knew how he acted at home, you would not want him operating on you! But don't get me wrong, he takes his job seriously, you won't find a better doctor. And he always has candy for his patients, no matter how old or young they are! :)

Mother: Kim Evangeline (Maiden name Lucain) || 49 || Lawyer || Very strict, but loving. Also extremely close to me. She makes our house a home. She once had an accident while water skiing and she had to get surgery on her stomach. It left a lot of scarring and when I was born about a year afterwards, her doctor advised my parents to not have any more children fro fear of a miscarriage and her losing too much blood. She sometimes feels bad that she wasn't able to give my dad a son, but he says I'm perfect enough for him. She sometimes mothers too much, to a point where I feel she wants to keep me in the house forever. I think it's because she doesn't want me to grow up since I'm her only child.

1 older cousin: Kim Heechul from Super Junior. Their fathers are brothers. He's super protective of me and practically is my big brother. He really didn't get along with Kyuhyun when he found out about our breakup, but they have since had a better relationship. Teams up with my dad when it comes to me and other guys.

Why did you broke up : He broke things up right before he debuted with Super Junior so that we both wouldn’t get unwanted publicity. He wanted to protect me from unkind fans, since a lot opposed him joining Super Junior. I'm still not 100% over him, but we still have a good relationship. But he always seems to want to leave when I'm with Chanyeol.
