Personality:

Minjoo is quirky and creative.  She is somewhat wild and that burst of energy one needs when their down.  In short, she's the happy virus.  Always smiling and laughing at the stupidest things.  She likes making everyone happy and doesn't like seeing someone so upset.  If she does she'll try her best to comfort them.  Sometimes, she ends up going out of her way to make them smile.  Also, she doesn't like letting other people see that she's upset.  She'll try her hardest to mask it with a bright expression and make it look like nothing's wrong. Minjoo is in no way shy or timid.  When you first meet her, you'll be surprised that she's very outgoing , extroverted even.  But please be aware that if you tick her off, you've just unleashed a she demon.  It's not pretty when she's mad and she can get mad quite easily.  Yes, she's quick tempered.  Once she's mad, she needs to punch a pillow. Minjoo is hard working and a perfectionist.  She can be quite vain when it comes to herself but she thinks of others a lot.  She's a humanitarian in the works and whenever shehears that there has been a disaster,  (f.e. a natural disaster, animal extinction,injutice of any sort) she will try her best to heal and help those in need.

Background:

Minjoo was born in the Korean countryside but from a young age, she travelled around a lot before settling in Seoul.  Minjoo's parents were business representatives and they were required to move around a lot.  So therefore Minjoo moved around with them.  Minjoo never acquired much friends when she was young for that reason solely.  She knew that the person she was aqcuainted with currently might not be there for her in a year or two.  Heck, they might even forget her.  But the essence of friendship intrigued Minjoo and she couldn't help but make new friends wherever she went.  She got to know each one of them as much as possible before moving away to another part of the country.  

When Minjoo was about twelve, her family settled down in Seoul and her father became a CEO of his newfound company.  His business has been successful ever since.  It was in Seoul where she garered her interest in music.  She liked playing around with different instruments and taught herself to play the piano.  She also started penning some of her own melodies, and lyrics.  She sang them but she kept it all a secret to everyone but one.  Her mother was aware of her talent and knew that Minjoo could go far with it.  Upon much insistence from her mother Minjoo auditoned for many entertainment companies.  Each one turning her down because they said she was lacking.  

Minjoo was even more determined, she worked harder for every audition until one company chose her.

Why did you audition?

Training Years: 5 years
Training Background: Minjoo had been auditoning for entertainment companies fo around three years when she tried again for SM entertainment.  She was fifteen at the time and she believed that she had polished her skills perfectly at the moment.  She audtioned and after that there was only happy news.  She was accepted.  As a tainee she worked really hard and was back up in many of f(x) and BoA songs.  She also helped with instrumental pieces of songs whenever needed.  She was trained in vocals, rap,dance, and acting.  Right now she is learning how to read write and speak mandarin.
