"Patience" was my first kpop fan fiction. I had written fan fiction before, but not about anyone in kpop, so this story, however bad, holds a special place in my heart.

Often my inspiration comes from the people around me, and this time was no exception. 

This tory is actually loosely based on how my best friend and I became friends.

I was having a lot of personal issues [though none as extreme as Rose's], I was in a new enviorment, and I had recently been emotionally destroyed by someone that I thought I could have trusted.

Needless to say, I did NOT want to be anyone's friend. 

But this girl literally bothered me to death until I opened up. She would make sure that I would talk, even if I didn't want to, go out when I didn't want to, and open up to her.

I've known her for almost five years, and we've never been angry with each other, and I doubt that we ever will.

But there was a tipping point to me starting to write this story. 

I have a few unsigned artists I like on Youtube, and one of them, Kina Grannis, released a song called "Someone Else's Heart."

The lyrics are:

I don't know why this song hit me as hard as it did, but it made me start writing, and the end product was "Patience."
