I need some help on how to get a poll in a story update?

(If that makes sense...)

You know how people have a poll at the bottom of their story update sometimes? I didn't want to make a link to a poll, I just wanted the poll in the story.

Yeah well I have no idea how to do it and I was wondering if anyone could help?
