Yesterday

Just a reminiscion upon something that touched my heart yesterday...<3

Yesterday, while Pastor Dennis was going on about his message after one of the Leaders did a voluntary lesson, he spoke of one story so full of compassion it made me wonder how I could give more than this...I don't give God much, and I can't confidently say that I follow Him to the best of my abilities; when attacks come, it's so easy to turn away and divulge into the immediate pleasures of the Earth rather than letting things patiently unfold through God...

But, the story basically was that this Christian man lost his wife after a night robbery, for she got murdered by this boy of youth who felt so lost within the abyss of life...What would you have done?

What would Jesus do?

Well, I can guess what the Son of God would do, for He acted through this man by sending him to the prison where the killer boy was, and sharing the Word of God with Him.

He wasn't mad.

He wasn't full of revenge.

And He was set upon giving even upon losing.

Would you have been able to do that? This man was obviously setting His eyes on God 24/7, for either God is of supreme importance, or none. He could've gone so many different ways through this, most of them considerably worse than the gracious act He implemented upon another child of God.

The story doesn't even end there as, after talking to the judge in charge of their trial, he adopted the boy as his own son, giving him a second chance hardly anyone would ever get, yet even deserve after such a deed.

He was so full of compassion, so full of the love of God, and so set upon saving someone no matter what obstacle came upon his way...

Just imagine how happy he would've been.

In addition, this perfectly reflects the moment where Christ saves each and every one of us, too. Like the youthful boy who was walking amongst darkness, committing atrocious sin, so were we before God graciously grabbed a hold of our hearts and brought us into the wonderful light of love and family.

He gave us a second chance.

He gave us love and family and smiles.

He gave us life and restoration, and keeps no record of our sin.

And now, He wants us to do it, too.

Just like the Christian man did for the boy.

Just like we will do later in the future, should we truly decide to act upon God's will for us, one step at a time...

God bless!~
