Triton Application

BACKROUND: He was born to an extremely poor family who had to give him up to an orphanage when he was five, his father had been dead before he was born and his mother died when he was six. When he was seven he was adopted by the Jung family when they moved to Korea, and gained two sisters, Jessica (SNSD) and Krystal (Fx). Their family was really close at first however, when Jessica and auditioned and got into SM Entertainment, the attention pretty much turned to her and no matter how hard he tried to get attention from his foster parents, he didn’t get their attention. However he did get attention from his two sisters, who were really sweet and caring towards him.

A couple years after that Krystal got in as well and he was left with his parents who constantly asked when he’d join SM Entertainment as well. Under their pressure, he auditioned for SM Entertainment, only to fail. He then got himself dance lessons, as well as vocal lessons, and taught himself how to rap, just to try and match up with his sisters.

At the age of 15 he auditioned for the company once again and again failed, he fell into a minor depression, which took him years to come out of with the help of his mother and father, who both noticed that they were pushing a little bit too hard.

Within his two years of being depressed, he completely stopped singing, dancing, and rapping; and focused on school, becoming one of the top students in his class. He showed that he had an amazing memory and was very observant and he showed his parents that he was far different than his sisters. However, after the two years, he decided to resume his attempt to be a singer like his sisters.

After two years of training himself, he started auditioning for many different companies, hoping to get into one.

PERSONALITY: He loves having attention on him, so he tends to crack jokes all the time and make sarcastic comments that tend to make everyone crack up laughing. He has a really good humor, and is one of those people who are really hard to annoy or aggravate. He is also really easy to befriend and trust, because if you tell him a secret, it’ll stay a secret.

He doesn’t really like silences so he talks…a lot. However, he usually hides his true emotions behind a smile (which not many people can read) because he doesn’t like to burden others with his problems, especially after his depression spell back when he was fifteen.

The bad part of his personality is that he’s secretly pessimistic despite his optimistic outer appearance and he has is that he tends to get depressed easier than most people, however it’s not really noticeable except for the fact that he doesn’t talk as much as he usually does and he tends to sleep more. He is also a perfectionist and hates when others scold him, so he tends to over think some things, and when people do scold him for a long period of time (or make fun of him for a long period of time/dis him) he will slip into depression, sometimes it’s to the point where he has to end up going to a doctor, but that rarely happens because he puts himself back together again before it hits that point. He keeps up a happy act the whole time though, well, he attempts to because he hates being a burden, especially when he’s like that, because he knows he’ll get better over time.

PERSONALITY: She has always been sweet and caring to all of her children, she also is very nice and entertaining, but she used to pick favorites, however after Jae’s depression spell, she changed her ways and cares for her children equally, but tends to watch out for Jae the most since he’s still dealing with depression spells every now and then.

FATHER: Jung Jongsoo

AGE: 46

OCCUPATION: Businessman

PERSONALITY: He is a very out-going man, who has changed over the years. He used to be really strict and mean, but now he’s really nice to all his children and supports them all and will always support them all no matter what they are doing as an occupation, as long as it’s legal and nothing disgraceful.

SIBLING: Jung Soo-Yeon (Jessica)

AGE: 23

OCCUPATION: idol, member of SNSD/Girls’ Generation

PERSONALITY: She is really friendly and sweet, and she can be unintentionally cute. She also seems a little socially awkward at times, but it usually leads to laughter.

SIBLING: Jung Soo-Jung (Krystal)

OCCUPATION: idol, member of F(x)

PERSONALITY: She seems really cold to those who don’t know her personally, but is unintentially cute when she’s around her group mates and/or her family members. She helped him get over his biological mother’s death when they were younger.

REASON: Jeongmin and he competed in multiple vocal contests against each other, at first it was just competition between friends, but as Jae started to win more awards it became a huge contest and their friendship was destroyed because of it. However, now that Jeongmin is an idol and Jae is in a company, the two repaired their friendship and are now pretty good friends with each other.

AUDITION AND TRAINEE STORY: After failing to get into multiple different companies, he auditioned after deciding that it would be the final audition he went through, because if he failed it as well, it’d be way too many failures to count, so he was going to give up. However his audition went smoothly and he impressed the people watching and ended up getting in, which made him really surprised because no other company would take him in because of his age and lack of training.

As a trainee, he worked hard especially in his vocal classes, once he sang so much he lost his voice. He is liked by a lot of the other trainees because of his friendly personality and because he’s so entertaining, plus they like him a lot because he treats both sunbae and hoobae with respect like his parents taught him to.
