Style: She dresses in a hypocritical way - that is, she tries to stand out by wearing outfits and clothing that she knows most people wouldn't wear but somehow, these sorts of outfits must fit her perception of 'in'. She doesn't like being too girly thus does not wear dresses or skirts much despite everyone's insistence. However, she secretly enjoys the freedom that comes with wearing flowy dresses. She prefers wearing colours such as pale blue, black, purple and white. Wherever she is, she has to look her best - although that does include confidence. She even wears her pajamas with pride. She loves to wear print t-shirts or any crazy designs on them as it makes her feel wild.

For pants and such, it has to be fashionable, compliment the shirt but not too graphic. They have to be comfortable - able for her to easily run. Because of this, she dislikes heels but still enjoys kitten heels so that she can appear taller. Her shoes must be easy to put on or off - thongs, flats, easy strap heels, UGGS and the occasional boots. This is because she would feel suffocated if she wore anything too strappy.

Extra: She loves hats, beanies, etc. She wants to collect/buy every sort of headwear. Also, her collection of necklaces is enormous, one going with almost each outfit but a special one as a good luck charm. She's also obsessed with rings.

Personality: The question is...how can one describe someone in just a few paragraphs, it take years to understand someone but I'll try my best to describe Lee ChungAe. Lee ChungAe tends to act differently around different people. At first glance, if she is with friends she is comfortable with, she will seem cheerful, too bright and optimistic and definitely easy to befriend. The thing is, she's actually deadly scared when meeting new people. If you try to talk to her when she's alone, she's the quietest person and can hardly look you in the eye. She might seem proud and haughty but in truth, she's thinking of the millions of ways she can start a conversation with you, but she's not sure how, and what you like.

Even if you have met her, known her name and for a few years, she can still be the most awkward turtle you can meet. If you want to talk to her, you have to make the first move, because she's definitely too shy.

In all honesty, she is selfless yet naïve and idealistic. Somehow, subconsciously she believes in a perfect world where true love exists, where wars should have stopped, where everyone can live together happy. Because of this, she sometimes fail to notice the obvious, such as someone cheating on her, someone ing about her, and when she finds out, she's confused and hurt. These little things, she'll always remember but despite this, she'll still believe you had a good reason for doing what you did. She can't hold a grudge for more than a day. She tries to be friends with everyone despite all their differences which results in personality changes when hanging around different people. In a way, she tries to please everyone but somehow her actions seems to offend some. She's been called a 'try-hard' and ''. She places everyone before herself and can immediately tell when a friend is distraught and will spend more time on their problems than her own.

Despite all this, she finds it uncomfortable to receive compliments as well as give them. If she admires something, she turns slightly jealous. She is also very pessimistic at times, believing the world to be so corrupt and that she herself is inadequate of everyone. She believes herself to be not good enough in every aspect of her being. So she tries too hard to be perfect but instead, finds more flaws to add to her list.

She is horribly needy. She needs to feel the warmth and comfort of friends around her and has no trouble showing her love to them. However, with her family, she hates showing emotion. She yells at them and wishes for a better family but loves them all the same.

She's a really stubborn person and hates to admit she's wrong. For her, first impressions count a lot and no matter what happens in the future, a part of her will always remember you as what she first thought.

She is extremely gullible and believes almost anything someone says. She doesn't believe this is being gullible though, in fact she always believes people because she thinks everyone should have someone to always believe in them. All this she does, partly because of her idealistic views but also because of her upbringing with parents that never listened to her opinions.

Because of her hectic past, she's actually very insecure, scared to love and scared people she cares for will someday be gone. Because of this, she gives random hugs and is very emotional. She always puts a smile on her face - a mask even, so that when she tops smiling, people assume she's sad. However, sometimes she feels as if it's forced as if the mask has stuck. She cries extremely easily. Anything in the least bit emotional can set off the waterworks and anything about love being forever whether it be between girlfriend and boyfriend, friends or family can start her crying. Anything to do with achieving dreams can set her off as well.

She creates fantasy worlds in her mind where everything goes as she wants. For her, being at Camp Diamond is almost a sort of escape for real life to a world where she hopes will let her bond with her inner self.

____once upon a time...

 

History:

Lee ChungAe grew up in Australia, in Sydney where she was born. Being the youngest sibling, she was loved the most - thus high self esteem + confidence levels.

Lee ChungAe grew up with a perfect life, at least until she entered highschool. But before then, she was loved, spoilt and she believed everything that her parents said was right. And when they weren't and she'd rebel, that would result in a beating after which , her opinion would rapidly change and they would remain 'right' and of course 'the boss'.

Then she entered high school - the most prestigious high school, and went down. Her peers influenced her the most - giving her different paths to choose in life, getting backstabbed, getting ed about, getting heartbroken. She found out what it felt like to be manipulated. She realised that she was spending her life the wrong way, obediently following others without wanting or getting what she wanted herself. Her older brother was not as bothered with parents as her and thus, when her dad fell sick with blood cancer, it fell upon her to take care of the family in the future. It was then she began to rebel; from fear of pressure, yes, but also because she didn't want someone controlling her life and telling her what to do. Her parents want her to be a doctor but she feels that she wants to do greater things - things she enjoys like arts, music, dance, literature - things that Camp Diamond would be able to provide. She enrolled so as to hope she could find out her true calling in life.

Family History:

When ChungAe's brother, Lee Howon (Hoya) , was four, they moved to Australia and consequently bought a house and had ChungAe. When ChungAe was two years old, her father suddenly developed cancer which was  treated. The doctor warned that the cancer cells may regrow at a later stage but of this occasion, ChungAe had no memory of. During this time, her father who has five brothers all owned a restaurant together but being unable to pay back depths, they one another and all brothers abandoned each other leaving a huge sum of debts to him - he was easy manipulated and tricked and trusted people far too easily, much like ChungAe. Thus, throughout the years, they struggled to pay back the debts but because her father was a gambler, they had to sell their house. This happened when ChungAe was 10 years old and thus they moved to South Korea where her mother's family was and was able to provide a home for them. Because of this experience, ChungAe was mentally distraught and this accumulated until she was 13 when her father found out he had blood cancer. This caused her family to be uprooted again and she became depressed enough to think about suicide. It's become less as she finds comfort at school and with her friends. Instead of home being a place to resort to, somehow she found school as an escape.

Family:

Lee JinHyuk | father | 49 years old

His personality is extremely similar to ChungAe's and for some reason, it's easy for her to take out her anger on him. He never gets angry at her and is proud of her wherever he goes - boasting about her and such. Because she still misses Australia and freedom, a part of her blames him for gambling and getting sick. She's deathly afraid he'll leave her too soon. She can ask and tell him stuff that she doesn't with her mother but like ChungAe, he has a more musical side and understands that she wants to be more than a doctor.

Kwon Eun Bi | mother | 48 years old

She's an overbearing mother, over protective, and blind to the wishes of her daughter. With her mother's personality believing herself superior, and going through a tough time in life having to support two kids and a decrepit husband, she takes it out on her family thus alienating them at times. Lee Howon feels this especially. ChungAe has decided not to care anymore and a small, horrible part of her wishes that it had been her with cancer but not her dad. ChungAe gets yelled at and lectured everyday by her. Even a simple question can set her off and thus, ChungAe avoids talking much to her.

Lee Howon | brother | 20 years old

He has a close friendship between ChungAe and they mess around together a lot, making each other laugh and taking care of each other whenever they run from home to avoid a crazy mother. He makes sure to take care of her and she does the same. She believes he understands her most because of their small . She finds she can confide in some matters with him and alleviate some of the stress she feels.

How Do You Feel About the Camp?: As stated before, she chose this for herself and without truly realising it, her expectations for this has been building until she could hardly wait for Camp. She feels that her life would be a massive let down if she wasn't invited. It's basically her life-line right now.

Why Are You Here?: It's wrong for her to overthink things, she believes but she does it anyways and at times she lays awake pondering life and the meaning of life. She wonders what is the point of living at all, if everything that's good that can happen to you will leave you at some point in your life. If it were not for her fear of pain, she would have committed suicide already. As it was though, she keeps her emotions bottled up with a smiling face as the lid and hopes that one day the bottle won't burst from the pressure.

What Did You Bring?: She can't live without her music - ipod, her favourite beanie, polaroid.

Best Friends:

Lee Ji Eun (IU) | 18 years old.

ChungAe met Ji Eun at school when she transferred. At first, they weren't friends but soon, their opposite personalities brought them together, strangely enough. Whilst ChungAe cannot bear to insult anyone, Ji Eun has a bad habit of speaking her thoughts out about anyone. She doesn't think about how her thoughts may hurt their feelings (this has happened to ChungAe), and also, she's slightly egotistic, her jealousy of others sometimes making her more mean than she is. Somehow ChungAe looks passed this. They first bonded because JI Eun's grandfather passed away from cancer and so ChungAe comforted her and confided in her. As they do everything together, they decided to enrol in Camp Diamond together. (secretly ChungAe wants Camp Diamond to change her lack of etiquette and manners)

She met him in Australia and he was in fact her first crush until she realised he was the biggest pain in the . He was also a playboy. They were archrivals until they both matured and somehow got over their differences and realised they had a lot in common. They're inseparable now, except when she's running away from ex-girlfriends that he somehow always seems to offend. His easy going personality makes all girls fall for him and his denseness stops him from realising this. ChungAe constantly teases him about this. It's his second year at Camp Diamond and he introduced her. He likes going there simply because he's free from all his angry ex's (lol)

Kwon Jiyong | 20

Again, another second year. He became Nichkhun's friend and thus became acquainted with ChungAe. He has similar depression issues with life and Camp Diamond taught him to harness this and write songs - and thus he developed his talent. He's changed considerably because of this and ChungAe's impressed. They act a lot like brother and sister and a bit too much touchy feely with one another sometimes giving other's the impression they are a couple.

ChungAe's jealous of her. Jealous of her beauty, her carefreeness, her easy going personality and the way life seems to breeze past her. Because of this, ChungAe works hard to try and be better than her. However, ChungAe also holds immense respect for Yoona because she realises that she must have worked hard for her life to be so stable.

His Personality:

Joon. He's an easy going guy, slightly flirtatious and deep but doesn't show it much. His personality is a lot like ChungAe's - he cares about his friends a lot but doesn't like to show it. Heartbreaks cut him hard but again, he doesn't show it. He's clingy but only because he's scared of letting his girlfriend go. His personality lets him get a lot of girls and this hurts ChungAe as well. However, these relationships never last long as the girls always tire of him and his depth and thus flings him aside leaving him worse than ever. But soon, the next girl comes along. However, ChungAe's always been there for him.

Dongwoon. Again, he's easy going and lets things slide. He's a practical joker and makes everyone have a good time which is what attracted ChungAe in the first place. However, he's really caring of others. He also loves to dance around to random tracks.

Mir. Mir is the childish adorable guy that makes everyone fall in love with him because of his innocence. His blind to other's pain and hurt but rather seems to be still in the naivety of childhood. He's also gullible.

How You Act With Each Other:

Met on the first day of school. However, he did not seem extraordinary to her. However, his easy going personality and flirtatious behavior caught her eye as they got closer, she realised that his shallowness was an act and that he was really hurt by past break ups. They used to be extremely close, hanging out with each other. Deep down, they both liked each other and one day, they confessed but because after that, it became awkward instead of them getting together, it's been hard for them to stay as close. However, since they both enrolled in Camp Diamond this time, she hopes to reconcile with him.

Dongwoon. She will meet him at camp and his good looks and dance skills will catch her attention. She will meet by approaching him as he dances solitary in a studio. She enquires after him until they become friends and he tries to teach her how to dance - thus skinship!

Mir. She's never really taken much notice of him when she was at school but as he matured but still retained a childish personality, she couldn't stop smiling whenever she saw him simply because he was like a big ball of happiness for her. She hangs out with him and they mess around together and he makes her forget her depression.

Current Relationship Status:  Single but still hoping for a joon :)

Exes: Kwon Jiyong - now friend. Dated for two months but she realised she still had feelings for Joon. She was really happy with him and felt extremely comfortable with him. However, she realised her heart didn't pound in a frenzy like how it did when she was with Joon.

Other: She is secretly afraid of being in a relationship. Only because she was so comfortable with Jiyong could she get over that fear of being betrayed. There's always a soft spot for him. Every now and then she wonders what if would be like if she just gave up on her hopeless dream of Joon.

Desired Scenes: I would love to have a camping trip that has tents for only two people. However, because there are an odd number of girls and boys, ChungAe is stuck with Joon. However, she has to change after swimming in the river so he stays outside. It begins to rain so he's drenched before she could let him in. The whole night, she lies awake but nothing happens.

Suggestions:  I would love an activity where you're tied with someone else by waist for 24 hours as a trust thing. They have to go everywhere together. The funny thing would that they would have to be opposite genders and thus, going to the toilet would be hilarious. Also, they would have to go on a pearl dive whilst tied together and by the end of the exercise, they either emerge as horrible enemies or best friends.

Or maybe, you could have a worker that has a horrible personality but during her sleep, she sleep walks and acts extremely nice.
