Personality: 

Dan Bi is a very honest, frank, and prideful person. But she makes sure she watches her words and makes them sweet and less painful so she won't have a hard time to swallow everything if she is at the wrong side. Although very pricky at her 'monthlies' she tries her best to be nice and motherly to everyone she likes. She tends to be a little picky with her friends and likes to play in both the safe and dangerous side. Growing up most of her teen-hood alone with her brother in Seoul, she grew up to be a very tough, loving, prideful, street wise and independent woman. She doesn't want to be too commited in relationships because she thinks she's too young to play mature with the topic of 'love'. 

She’s a very prideful girl and sometimes it gets in the way of her friendships. She is often laughed at because of her rather sharp pronunciation due to growing up in Jeju-do Island. Although not being that rich, she gets her weekly boost of shopping with the money she earns from her part time job (She works in a boutique) and the monthly allowance her parents give her. Dan Bi believes that she is what she is and no one could ever change that.                        She likes looking her best and showing other people what she has to show. She has this shining shimmering personality and confidence of a super star that always wowed people out.

Dan Bi wants to be seen as an independent, beautiful, strong woman and not one of those weak, dependant, and cry-baby women. You'll never see her cry for such small reasons she'd rather smile and say, "I'll do better than my best next time.". Although her personality is the type to bring down most girls from their dreams, she never does that. Instead, she pursues them to continue on their dream and do what they believe is best for them. She enjoys the company of God so she always brings around a small bible with her which her mom gave her for her 16th birthday.

She likes to be neat at times, and always productive. She will do everything you could do in a day without fail except for the winter season where she gets all lazy and uncooperative. But, alas it's only for the months of November-December. In short, she only wants the world to know that women are as strong as men and that women should deserve equal rights.

Background – (Small information)

She was often bullied in her early years in her middle school as a 'Country Bumpkin' because of her quite striking Jeju-do accent which is a bit sharper than those who have a Seoul accent. Therefor, she practiced her Seoul accent although she knows each and everything about her Jeju-do accent and it still shows in some of her scentences.

Likes: 

- Everything Pandalized - She finds the animal very cute and adorable.

- Chinese Food - The exciting colours and flavors of Chinese food always had this special place in her heart and she even dreams of going to China to taste 'REAL' Chinese food which is made by real Chinese people as well. ;)

- Korean Oldies Songs - She finds the quite comforting and it is music for the soul.

- Colorful Shoes - She is admittedly a shoe-savy person. She has her own  acceptable collection of shoes.

- Oranges - Jeju-do's specialty orange products. :)

- Jeju-do Island - This is where her childhood started and where her heart belongs to. She finds Jeju-do as 'a little bit of Heaven' here on earth.

- Her mother's cooking - She claims that her mother is her very own world class chef.

- Chocolate - Need more to say, eh? :D

- Performing in front of a very large audience  -  No, it does not get  her nervous but rather  excited.

Dislikes :

- The word 'Country Bumpkin' - Whenever she hears  people say this word, she flinches and recieves this small flashback of how bad the bullying was during middle school.

- Over-cooked Rice - Who doesn't? :D

- Old Woman Perfume - She doesn't want to be mean but the stench of it is kinda yucky to her.

- Pickpockets - She's been robbed unknowingly alot whenever she takes the bus.

- Her allergy to Gim (Seaweed) - She has to take medicine before she can even peacfully eat food with Gim in/on it. :)

Hobbies: 

- Shopping at Thrift shops to see some good 'ol vintage fashion.

- Taking short naps. A day without one is like a cat without it's nap time. Yes, dangerous.

- Entertaining people and  receiving  praises and applauses through the process.

-  Acting too motherly to her eoni's/oppa's and dongsaeng's which some people find annoying

They always wore the same practice clothes and even wore the same hairstyle at times. But, there was an honest jealousy from Dan Bi when Yuri debuted first. But both Yuri and Dan Bi just brushed it off and Yuri told Dan Bi that she could sense that she was soon going to debut as well.

How do you act each other?: He is rather very generous to you by treating you food in cafe's from the main building of SM.  The two seldom meet up but when they do, they make sure they have a good time. He is a very gentlemanly person and he also is a bit cocky about himself. But, it is forgiven by his kindness. He likes to exchange text messages every once in a while.

When did SM asked you to join SM?: Dan Bi was performing for her high-school's School Festival she was singing Beyonce's 'Irreplaceable' which she practiced for months to perfect her English. The perfomance was sleek, fab, and clean although she had some twangs on some parts. Luckily, a student from her school invited her uncle who was a scouter from SM. As soon as Dan Bi sat back to her seat and recieved her round of applauses and standing ovations, he quickly scouted Dan Bi. At first Dan Bi was hesitant because she was too overwhelmed and thought that this was just one of those jokes. But as soon as the uncle took out his company card, the deal was done and she was on her way to being Korea's Beyonce.
