She comes from a middle class family. Her father is Korean and Italian. Her mother is Korean and Spanish. Her father was originally born in Italy, later moved to Korea where he met her mom. Her mother never want her and tried killing her a couple of times. Her mother died when she was 5 years old. Her father loves her so much, and makes her his main priority. He has always supported all her decisions and made sure she had everything she needed. He would always make time for her and made sure she was following the right path.

As a child she was never alone, she was always with Kai and Chihoon. She never let the fact that she was not wanted by her mother bring her down. That's when her love for music was born. Soon she was captivated by poetry and photography. She would always upload videos of herself singing onto Youtube hoping that some day she would be discovered.
