Horror Movie Guide Part 2: Whispering Corridors 5/A Blood Pledge/Suicide Pact/Broken Promise

I have seen all the’ Whispering Corridors’ series, but I thought I’d start with this one.  Like all Whispering Corridors movies, ‘A Blood Pledge’ stands on its own, so you don’t need to have seen any of the others to understand it.

The story begins late at night, in an old musty room at a Catholic high school.  Four girls are making a blood pact to kill themselves.  They are interrupted by a fifth girl beating down the door.  She wants to join them.  Minutes later, she falls to her death from the rooftop by herself, and the event is witnessed only by her poor little sister.

The four other girls are traumatised by the incident, and the rest of the school blames and bullies them for what happened.  Strange things start to happen at school.  They’re just small scares at first, but then the surprises get nastier as you begin to piece together what happened that night.

This is my second favourite of the Whispering Corridors series.  It delivers the moderate thrills, but also knows how to tug at the emotions as only Korean horror can.  The yuri romance in this movie will have you rooting for some of the characters to live, and others to die.

Just a warning though, there are some very depressing themes covered in this film.  The girls each have a very good reason for why they welcome death.

Tinyychan29 has uploaded the entire movie for you to watch on youtube (with eng subs and in 9 parts) at:

Like I said, this movie delivers moderate scares, so if you want to challenge yourself, watch it with your friends-at night-in a strange place-without any lights on X} Enjoy!
