Don't we love the alert bar on the left side? Especially when it pops up with "New Subscribers! New Story Comments! New Story Updates!" But one thing there doesn't really catch my interest-"New Blog Posts".

Why? Because let's face it-we're all on this site either to read or write. And you automatically follow blog posts of friends. However, most of my friends are such writers, so all the blog posts are usually APPLICATIONS.

Grrr. I mean, I don't usually have time to read such stories, and most of the time I find that waiting for applications is way stressful if you actually care about that. I don't usually write stories with applications even though you would get automatic readers because I like characters to be original and mean something. Most of the time, I find that application stories are too shallow for my taste. 

I sometimes wish I had AFF friends that would blog meaninful stuff instead  of applications all the time. >.<
