Hi! I’m Mina, a ninja petal and I’m here today to clean our Heenim’s fanboying mess.. XD kidding..

Okay.. So I was receiving so many questions in my social network accounts about the video I posted in my channel. So I decided to make this blog post to address all the questions. But I’ll answer your questions on a petal’s perspective, alright?? ^__^

 

~Did Heechul really say ‘Yoobinnie’?~

The video was actually already really old.. It was still years ago. But at that time when it was still new, me and my co-petals also ‘investigated’ on the said matter. We replayed the video so many times to make sure if we heard it right.

(to make it easier: when I say ‘we’, it pertains to me and my co ninja petals who investigated on this matter)

Coz let’s face it. We were shocked too. Heenim is often fanboying over Sohee so we got used to it. But that was the first time we heard him say or mention Yoobin. So we tried to make sense of it through some investigations. (LOL.. it was really hilarious coz all of us petals were like investigating a crime where in Heenim is accused of murder. We’re sooo into it..)

 

Here are some of our deductions that made us come into conclusion that he did say ‘Yoobinnie’:

The video I uploaded on my channel was actually just a cut of the whole video. I am not allowed to upload the whole thing as per the rules in the forum where I got it states.

 

1. Before that part, there was actually a conversation wherein Heenim mentioned that he was able to memorize the dance steps of So Hot while recovering from his surgery. That part of the conversation will prove that Heenim is in his “fanboying” mode. He’s WG-high that time.
2. In the other video I uploaded (the one where Heechul went wild in ‘So Hot’), we noticed that Heenim also danced on the rap part of ‘So Hot’ (which was Yoobin’s part). If you’re not a petal, you may think: “so what? Heechul’s a big WG fanboy anyway. So it’s normal.”

Well, I’m telling you, it’s not normal. Coz Heechul is actually more of a Sohee-fanboy than anything else. During the Tell Me era, whenever he dances Tell Me, he only dances So Hee’s part and the chorus part most of the time.. (he even pushes the other Suju members to do the other parts so he can do Sohee’s)

So for Heechul to actually dance Yoobin’s part too (although his version of it was really ROFL-worthy), that must mean that Yoobin’s part (or Yoobin, who knows?) must have really caught his attention

 

Petals’ conclusion: Heechul’s fanboying attention was not solely focused on Sohee during ‘So Hot’ era. (although Sohee is still his bias..)

 

Me and the other petals actually came up with many deductions. XD ( But I just posted here the most important ones.)

 

Back to the question: Did he really say ‘Yoobinnie’? Yep, we do think so. I think the explanations above will be enough to explain how it was possible.

 

 

~Did he say that to hint ‘something fishy’ about Kyuhyun and Yoobin?~

                It seems like then and now, it’s still the same questions plugging in our minds, eh? To answer that: No, I don’t think so.

                Heechul was actually dared by Shindong and Shin Young to recite the Super Junior members’ name. Why? Coz Shindong has a feeling that Heechul won’t be able to recite all the names. (Heck! Even I myself thought he wouldn’t. It’s Heechul we’re talking about! I bet on it, he would be able to dance to girl group songs more accurate than Super Junior’s songs!)

                Although with so much difficulty (what’s with all the stuttering and of lips: a sign of nervousness), Heenim was able to say all the names except one. He knows too that there’s one more that he haven’t mentioned coz he’s counting it his hands. I think when he blurted out ‘Yoobinnie’, it was one of those moments when someone just blurts out whatever is on his mind at that moment when he couldn’t think of the real answer. (Heechul is known for doing that. Check out more of his videos for proof.)

                So there: he can’t immediately remember whose name he hasn’t said yet, so to fill up the gap, he blurted out: ‘Yoobinnie’ (perhaps his mind is still on his fanboying mode..) Then he remembered Kyuhyun right after that. And cute Heenim immediately said: “Ah Kyuhyun..of course.. Our Kyuhyun is so pretty!” (or something like that) to make up for his mistake of not remembering his name. That line gave us the hint that Heenim have indeed forgotten that it was Kyuhyun that he hasn’t mentioned. He won’t say that if he isn’t guilty or something..believe me. XD

 

That’s it!! LOL. I finally finished this lengthy explanation. I answered all the questions that I could answer. But there were some questions before that we weren’t able to give justifications to:

~Why ‘Yoobinnie’ instead of ‘Yoobin-ssi’?

                Again, for non-petals’ sake: Honorifics is soooo important to Heenim. He even attaches honorifics when talking to children. Only those who are really close to him can call him ‘oppa’ or ‘hyung’.

                The only thing we could conclude is: PERHAPS (take note: it’s “perhaps”) they are actually close friends or something…

That one…

 only the two of them knows. :DD

That’s beyond our powers as ninja petals. XD

Unless, they’ll broadcast it that they’re friends, then there’s no way for us to know.
