Family Background: I came from an average family. My mom, Kim Hae Young, is a Korean who lives in New York. That's where my dad, Park Hwa Kyung, met her when he was on a business trip. I lived in New York since I was born until I was 13. I'm the youngest in the family. I'm super close with my brothers, especially Teukie oppa. We came back to Korea when my brother entered the music industry. My mom stopped working as an accountant when we came back to Korea and just took care of us. My dad owns a clothing line that went bigger and bigger as the years pass by.

Trainee Background: I always wanted to be like my brother. I wanted to be an idol, too. So I auditioned at YG Entertainment. It was hard and I had thoughts of giving up. Being a sibling of an idol was a big problem to me. Eagle eyes were on me, watching every move I make. The people who knew that my brother is Park "Leeteuk" Jung Soo of Super Junior, kept on comparing me to him. I felt as if the attention that I was gaining wasn't because of my talents, but because of my brother that is an Idol. It wasn't as easy as what I thought it would be. So I worked hard and trained thoroughly to give justice to my family's name and to show to everyone that I have what it takes. I even went as far as almost giving up. But because of my family and friend's love, care, support an belief in me, I was able to pull through.
