Biggest Pet Peeve. Yet Very Common Among FanFic Writers

I'VE HAD ENOUGH!!! <_<

I'm reading a fic all happy and cheery like

And then Himchan calls Yongguk his 'hyung'

At first I'm processing it..

But then I realize.... >:(

Himchan is ONLY ABOUT a month younger than Yongguk.

Meaning he shouldn't be calling him 'hyung'

I've seen this happen with Heechul to Leeteuk too. And they're only about a week apart

DON'T WRITE ABOUT A BAND YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT. I MEAN AGE DIFFERENCES ARE BASIC AND YOU CAN'T EVEN GET THAT RIGHT!?

Seriously, watch what you're typing. FIX IT! Please..

People will start to be bothered by it.. AND I WILL START TO DISLIKE you're story which probably deserves alot more than that, so make it right~

yangyoshi is right! People just feel the need to do that in their stories and to also differentiate to their readers sometimes who is the hyung and who is the dongsaeng (because not everyone is going to go onto Wiki and check straight away if they have time >_<)

LOL I think it's usually because they think that just cos a guy's older than the other, even if it's by months, weeks or minutes, they're considered "hyung" when the fact is that if the guy's born in the same year as the other, then it's more of a chingu relationship and "hyung" or "oppa" or whatever isn't really required. iunno.
