Background: Tori’s mother moved with her and her brothers when she was two years old from Toronto to Korea. Years later, her brother debuted with SS501. She grew up in a stable environment, and has been close with Hyun Joong since childhood. Her other brother often isolated himself by choice, so she never was able to have some sort of brother sister relationship. The family is financially stable since their mother is a nurse. When Tori was fifteen, she found out why her father hated her so much. Tori’s father once upon a time got married to a beautiful girl he met in France on a business trip, and started a new, happy life with his wife after moving from Korea to France. But then, out of anger that their son had married someone that they didn’t choose, the grandparents forced him to return to Korea and leave his new wife behind. Over time his love for his wife continued to grow until one night, he had an affair with the women of his grandparents choosing. Maybe it was because he drank too much, or couldn’t face pain, it doesn’t matter because either way he cheated. Out of that mistake, the women became pregnant with Tori. The grandparents demanded a divorce, and in the end got their way though both individuals put up a fight. Tori’s grandparents forced money on to her father's wife's family and made them promise never to see him ever again. They agreed and disappeared.
Not long after, Tori’s father got married to the Tori’s mother (the women the grandparents chose) and gave birth to Tori. Her grandparents, the scheming people they have been all along when separating her step mother and father, convinced the father that if Tori hadn’t been born, then they would’ve agreed to the marriage. He was convinced easily (probably out of mourning that his love had disappeared) and held grudge against Tori, even though she was only a small baby.
Over the course of the next twenty years, Tori’s father treated her like an alien. In public, he declared that the rumours involving a daughter weren’t true, and that he didn’t even want children. Tori never had a single birthday party, never received an affection from her father, and was treated as a stranger. However, two years after Tori's birth, she went to Toronto with Tori and her other boys (which she adopted), but when life got hard, she went back to Korea. 

Personality: Tori goes to describe something to you, and changes the subject from roses to elephants. Hearing this, you find yourself fascinated by the sudden and random change of topic; because never in your life had you heard anything in such an extreme case. Before you're able to completely process what has happened, Tori only begins to call you by the animal nickname (one she creates for all her friends. She creates them based on her friends looks, habbits or what they wear) and teases you.

Tori has lived with two older brothers her entire life; Kim Hyun Joong was a part of SS501, and Kim Seung R. Because she’s the only girl, has been spoiled, but of course there is one other reason for this. As a child, she was bullied verbally, therefore her parents tried to make it up by buying her anything she wanted. Tori now is socially challenged because she hasn’t acquired the social skills most teenagers her age have, but she can still have a decent conversation if she works hard at it. Her personality is a mix between shy and quiet (because she doesn’t know what to say) and charismatic and outgoing (because this is the real her). However, because of the bullyinf Tori went through as a child, her real personality was overlooked. In all, when you peel away the shy, quiet girl, this is what she's really like.

This is a perfect description of what Tori is like. Her friends refer to her as the Charasmatic Seal because of her facial featrures resemblance to the animal and her charasmatic behaviour. With all this in mind, mood swings are also a big part of Tori's life. Whenever someone tries to wake her up either during a nap or sleep, she lashes out, even if it's for a television show. Expect...bruising from being kicked, hairs on the floor from your hair being pulled, and scratches from nails and biting. However once she is woken up, or told why hse is being woken up, she gets up right away without complain.

Tori doesn't allow her past to get the better of her future and doesn't particularly like to share her experiences with anyone else. There is a rare moment in her life when she does tell those of her experiences, but she makes it clear if anyone who tries to force those idea's and experiences out of her that she will only express her feelings and experiences to a guy she is in love with...and at that moment it wil be only be in the dark, after a tormenting and difficult event has left her feeling as if the world will fall on top of her.

However, Tori does believe in everything have a justified reason, which includes all actions, spoken words and decisions. She couldn't hate an idea provided by a person with a justified reason for that specific idea, and she hates it even more when the reason behind the action/idea/spoken words are unjusitified. It's funny that if you turn around and try to use the same criticizm against her, she suddenly can't "hear" you. At the same time. Tori believes even strongly on sacrifice that makes a different in one other persons life, and though she might seem like a very friendly person, she is the type who will take her happiness and crush it so that someone else wil be able to gain from it.

Her sense of humour is also very much out there. She can make anyone feel better when they'e sad, and makes a gloomy envinroment into a cheery enviroment. However, when someone tries to comfort her, they will most likely not suceed as she is very hard to please.

Family background: Her father married a young female in Paris, but because of his grandparents they had to divorce. He's grown up hating his daughter, but he loves his two sons, Kim Hyun Joong in SS501 and Kim Seung R, more than anything though their adopted. Hyun Joong always stands up for his little sister when their father gets nasty at her. Now, Seung R is a young adult who doesn't leave his room, Kim Hyun Joong's a singer and Tori is always hanging around SS501 to get away from home. She's close to all of the boys, especially Jung Min, and feels their like family (though Jung Min thinks otherwise...HOW CUTE!!)
