Another one of my poems... nothing special.. hm, I guess this was also another of those angsty stuff I pulled out from my chest of old works. :D

Goodbye

 

one time you came to me

happier than I imagined you to be

I saw your face with your charming smile

your eyes that seem to light up whenever it looked into mine

then you said the words I always wanted to hear

it made me feel silly but complete

you told me how you will always be there for me

and that you will never leave me though worst may come

you never cared with what others may think

and that you love me much more than you can ever tell

 

but just like any dream, it faded through the night

slowly you moved out of my sight

as fast as you came in, you moved right out

leaving me with nothing but pain and suffering

while you go and paint the whole town red

telling them how I was inlove with you

that I would rip my heart apart if you asked me to

and I will not live now that you left me behind

with a broken heart and empty mind

 

I had to wake up from the trance your "love" became

before it takes my soul and eat it whole

while I can still live and breathe without you in my life

while I still can accept the fact that you never belonged to my world

we are direct opposites

you are the north and I am the south

I am fire, you are earth

We will never be a match

Even if the earth is set to fall apart

 

I am tired of the silly illusion that I have of you

You never loved me and you probably never will

Whatever you said was all a big joke

Destined to disillusion and create a misconception

If you think you can ruin me by everything you’ve done

I am sorry love, you should know me better than that

Time will come and you will see

I am not as weak as you think I’d be

I’ll move on without you in my life
