Allkpop Reveals:

Kim Shidae, the CEO of Starship Entertainment, has provided us, Allkpop, with an exclusive insider on the new girl group, Mirage! Several of our representatives, staff and crew members were able to take a peek into the Starship building and meet several of the trainees! Though Kim has not revealed to us who the members will be, he told us that several of the trainees that we were about to meet were going to be in this upcoming girl group.

Most of these girls were quite upbeat and excited to see our crew members walk through the doors with their equipment. And of course there were the few of the female trainees that seemed like they couldn't care less whether or not we were present. Many different personalities were able to shine and capture interest. Which ones will capture your attention? Let's watch the video and find out!

As the large, shiny, silver double doors were pushed open, many of the female trainees began to come into view. It was obvious that they were currently working on a given dance routine and were working hard to perfect it and perform it the way their instructor had done. At first, none of the girls noticed the camera since they were all too focused on their routines; however, once one girl created an outburst over seeing the cameras, all havoc broke loose.

"Why are we being filmed?" asked a girl with chest-length wavy brown hair. She looked closely at the lens of the camera, adjusting her straight bangs by tilting them to the side. "Yah, Yi Kieun! Come check it out!"

The one who was called, Yi Kieun, came up to the brunette and was the second in the room to notice the cameras. "Is this camera here to film me?" She struck a quick pose before she was pushed by her friend. "Lee Taeri, you called me here. Why are you pushing me away?"

The girl with the bangs, Lee Taeri, began to giggle. "I don't know. I'm innocent!" She ran away from the camera to go back to her practices. Kieun gave one last look at the camera, shining a big smile. "Taeri wants to be visual, isn't she pretty?" She then pointed her finger to herself. "Me? I'm going to be the leader!" She laughed before joining her partner and the rest of the group. The two girls turned to each other and started laughing; Kieun said something inaudible to Taeri, who nodded. They both calmed themselves and began singing verses to Boyfriend's "Dont Touch My Girl" as they beautifully executed the corresponding dance steps.

The camera then shifted over to a girl who stood out to the crew as she was in the center of the room with her hands on her hips and her head held high. She let out long and slow breaths, unintentionally showcasing how exhausted she was. Another thing that made her stand out was her distinct fashion sense - most girls were in sweats or shorts, but this girl was wearing bright pink cargo pants and a grey tank top. She pushed her center-parted hair away and finally noticed the camera. The girl gave a polite 90-degree bow and introduced herself. "Hello, my name is Ahn Saerom. I'm in the middle of practice, so I can't talk now. Sorry." And that was the end as she did not show anymore interest in us. The last thing we saw her do was call out to her training partner. "Choi Jinhae, let's get back to work!"

A short-haired girl, whose hair was multi-colored at the top, stopped her overly-excited chat with her friends and ran over to meet with Saerom. Choi Jinhae looked at the camera with wide eyes before giving it a quick bow. The girl returned to working with her partner while occasionally glancing back at the camera. Giving a complete 180-degree change from when she was first seen with her friends, the girl was completely quiet and conservative.

"Your dancing is totally off." The camera swiveled around to find a girl with her light brown hair tied up into a neat ponytail scolding her partner. "You keep stepping right when the choreography calls for you to go left. You have to get this right or else you will never be able to learn your dances!" She turned gracefully on her heels so that her back was facing her sulking partner. "Kim Bamhye, watch."

Lifting her head up to watch her partner perform the steps correctly, Bamhye put on a smile and clapped her hands softly when the girl had finished. "Kwon Minjung, you're good at this." Minjung laughed and brushed her fingers lightly over her hair.

"I know."

The camera view shifted from the pair to a girl who was leaning against the wall, looking over all the other girls. Her stare was almost ice cold as it could practically pierce right through the camera lens. Instead of practicing like the others, she had decided to watch from the sidelines instead. From the corner of her eye, she spotted the camera. She fixed her hair and greeted the camera. "I'm Yoo Gayoung. My partner is over there." She kept things short and sweet and pointed over to a girl who was dancing around freely rather than to the assigned choreography. She then stopped and pulled out a piece of candy, popping it into . "That's Kim Minyoung. She likes food and freedom. We don't really work well together; that's why we're not practicing right now. We're taking a break."

"Yah! We're supposed to be practicing! How can you be playing around at a time like this?" Hearing the sound of another's yelling, the cameraman followed the sound of the voice and started filming the source of the exclamation. "Im Joona, if you don't have the mindset of an idol, how are you going to be an idol?"

"Hey, just because I'm joking around now doesn't mean that I don't care, Kim Yerin," Joona shot back. "Stop being so stubborn and loosen up sometimes! We've practiced this a lot and it's not like we're about to forget it all just because we took a break." Fortunately, before Yerin could snap back, another girl with mahogany red, curly hair interfered and separated them. "Not now, Nam Juhye," Joona tried to push her away, but she failed.

"Now is not the time to be arguing," Juhye's Daegu accent was hard to miss. "Look at me and Shim Yuna!" Juhye directed her hand over to a girl with long black hair who was patiently and calmly waiting for her partner to return. "We have different personalities but we still get over it and work together. Sometimes we disagree, but we compromise and talk to each other; that's part of being partners." Joona and Yerin looked at each other then turned away and went to their own group of friends. Juhye looked at the camera and shrugged, "Oh well, I tried."

After that, there was silence in the dance studio until a loud burst of laughter erupted from the corner of the room. "HEY KIM SEONYUL! What did you do?!" A girl was seen wearing a sweater that was all soaked with water. "Did you mess with my water bottle?" She turned to the laughing girl next to her. "Yah Kim Seonyul!" Her hair was dripping wet, dropping little droplets of water onto the studio floor.

"My my, Lee Minju, you're not looking so hot." Seonyul burst out into another laughing fit.

Minju wiped the water off of her eyes and smirked. "Okay okay, you win. Here's some commemorative water." She tossed Seonyul a different water bottle to which the girl gladly accepted and opened. She brought it up to her lips and took a sip. However, just as Seonyul was drinking, Minju whacked the bottle, making the liquid spill all over the other. "Hahahaha! Now we're even," she giggled. Seonyul looked at her and nodded.

"They pull pranks like these on each other all the time." The camera moved over to the new voice who had randomly appeared from thin air. This girl had her hair tied neatly in a partial side ponytail and her bangs had fallen straight across her forehead. She let out a laugh, "They keep us entertained and bring up our spirits with their pranks when we all start to get too tired or frustrated." The young girl turned to the camera and smiled. "Hello, my name is Jang Sooyeon! I don't have a partner, but I don't mind. Sometimes I like to just sit back and watch the girls interact with each other. It's always a jungle in here so I start to wonder: if these girls are put in a group together, will they get along well? From what you've seen here today, don't you wonder the same thing?"

We figured that we had taken up enough of their time and had created enough distractions for one day. We were invited back another day in case we wanted to do a follow-up on these girls. What do you think? Do you think that they are ready for their debut? Do you think you can tell which ones will claim a role in Mirage and which ones will not? We've only been able to meet a few of the trainees. Maybe we'll come back to meet the rest!

Stay tuned to Allkpop for more updates on Mirage!

 i t ' s    j j a n g !

Presenting... the second teaser! It's a lot longer, wouldn't you agree? I remember seeing a story somewhere where the author included some of the applicants into a teaser and I thought that was really cool! So I decided that I would try that too; however, halfway through, I remembered that I have 33 applicants and I wouldn't be able to fit them all into one teaser. So I was only able to pick out a few of them and put them in here. If you're not in here, I'm sorry!

By the way, just because you're in this teaser does not mean that you were chosen, okay? It's just supposed to be a video about the trainees!!

Applications have already begun to slow down and I think I might be ready to choose my girls. Should I close applications? I think I want to change the deadline.

New Deadline : Wednesday, April 18, 2012

The name of the group is still Mirage, for now, since I haven't been able to decide what I want to change it to yet. But I suppose there is still a chance that it'll remain as Mirage in the end - it doesn't matter much. After all, the story isn't focusing on the girls as a group but as the main characters on SP, no?

I found it a bit awkward that a couple of the girls in this teaser have the same ulzzang, lmao. But at least they aren't interacting with the other person that has the same one, otherwise that would be even stranger! Also, I couldn't help but sneak my character in there at the end. I might end up doing that here and there in the actual story but I won't be a main character, I promise!! :)

That is all that I can remember that I wanted to say to all of you. Thanks for everything!!
