Then the host agreed and he went up to the stage and said, "Now it's time for Mimi to sing the birthday song!!!" Mimi looked at her friends who were laughing their butts off. She couldn't say no because she was scared that she would hurt the brithday girl's feeling so she went up there and started singing and dancing. At the birthday party there was one of the SM's Scout that was ready to leave the party until he heard Mimi singing. He didn't know who it was at first and then he he thought to himself, "I need to find who's voice that belongs to." So he did and he asked her if she would like to audition for SM Entertainment but she rejected it. He was disappointed at first but then he gave her his card and said, "Call if you change your mind." She took the card and said thank you and then she went to her brother, Lee Sungmin. She told him what happened and he was so happy about that and then he convinced her that she should audition and she did a few days later.

Trainee background: It was difficult for Mimi at first because she had to deal with training and school at the same time. She would come to the traing late and she would always leave the trainging room late for how many minutes she missed. She had fun talking to the other trainee's and she made some friends there to.
