Background Info: 

 

 

Ai Na's father is full korean and her mother is japanese. When she was just 7 she already had been recruited and at the age of 9 she debuted in a group called "W-ind" that became the youngest group that succesfully had a concert in Tokyo Dome and they were one of the most popular girl group. But at the age of 16, Ai Na withdrew from the group that shocked Japan, she didn't give any clear reason why she decided to leave the group. She was seen modeling for various magazines but never granted the media any interview. She doesdn't know korean well so she had to under go Language School when she was recruited by the agency. And she found out that Choi Min Ho of Shinee is actually her cousin. She's currently a Mass Communication major in Broadcasting student in Seoul.

Despite her charming face and smile, is a dark past. She's very mysterious, and doesn't talk much. But when it comes to facing the camera she is very well trained, and fans often call her "ball of cuteness" when she appears on variety shows. She often spend her time reading books and quietly listening to music in one corner, she doesn't socialize much  especially when she moved to Korea. 

She's afraid of men and most of the time doesn't want to have anything to do with them, although no one knows this except her parents. The fact that her fans are men and she had to work with men does't change a thing, she has great fear of boys but because she was well trained in both acting and singing she manages to hide her fear.

How You Were recruited: 

After quitting "W-ind", Ahn Na modeled for quite sometime. She have to go to Seoul for a photoshoot that's supposed to be taken for 2 days, and on the last night of her stay, she decided to walk around Seoul. She entered a restaurant which apparently, half of the place was rented by an entertainment company and as she took a seat she took the attention of the staff who were eating. Right at that instant they offered her a contract but she couldn't understand korean but luckily there was someone who knew japanese that became the interpreter. Ahn Na then told the staff that she used to be an idol in Japan, and because of some circumstances she ended her contract with her previous management company and shrugged them off.

But still the offer stands and the staff took more interest in Ahn Na's case, and they ended up pursuing her to sign under their company. 

Ahn Na's dad contacted his relatives in Korea and found out that Choi Min Ho, his nephew, is actually a well known idol under the group name of SHINee that made him encourage his daughter to move to Seoul. And so with her parents' support and massive encouragement of continuing and starting a new entertainment career she finally agreed and move to Seoul to became a trainee but because she was already familiar with the training she focused more on learning Korean.
