Love (poem)
I found one of the poems I've written years ago and thought I should share it here... just because ^^
Somehow by looking at the poems I wrote before, I can recall feelings and ideals... compare the who I was then and who I became now... its kind of eerie trying to discover who I was back then but whatever I did or felt then morphed me into who I am now so I suppose all is good.
Enough talk though... here's the poem I wanted to share...
Love is something we cannot live without
yet it is something we wish we have never known
it can be full of laughter, full of thrill
yet full of hurt and pain you'll feel
It hits you like a thief it the middle of the night
You'll wake up feeling you have been cheated and knocked out
It strikes like a bullet in the pit of your being
you will not know it hit you till you are left bleeding
It can make you feel happy
it can complete your soul
But that is only if you found someone who will hang on
through thick and thin
But once you got the wrong person
That is when the suffering begins
It hurts more than you ever can imagine
more than what you can take
You will wish you never felt that feeling
Wish you never cared
Prayed the hurt to just go away
Leave you back to your quiet place
Haven't you even given a single thought
You wouldn't be as strong as you are today
If you hadn't loved and been hurt
The way you had been
Just to remind everyone, I am not a professional and I did this when I was younger than I am now so its pretty amateurish...
