It's not awkward at all :) I kinda figured it was a manga word. Since i love manga *points to self* I've been an otaku for 6 years so^^ I just never focused on that personality.

Sorry for putting in an awkward word >.<'' Tsundere is a manga term meaning that they appear cold and indifferent when you first meet. But once they know you better, they start warming up to you and they aren't cold and indifferent to you anymore.
