What turns me off while reading fanfics

I don't know, I just felt like it. I'm bored anyways and stressing out over my fanfics lol. I'm a very picky one whenever it comes in reading fanfics. So lets see~

1. I definitely hate bad usings of fonts (eg; Comic Sans MS, Courier New, Lucida Sans Unicode, etc)

I think they're unsuitable. I really like Georgia and Times New Roman as a font. It looks more organized.

2. Bolds when it's unnecessary

Seriously? You don't have to bold the whole paragraph!

3. Big fonts

Size 12 is enough, really. I think everyone can see properly here.

4. Bad grammar

I must say that I'm not that good with grammar too but if I see the mistakes TOO MUCH, then no.

5. The usage of American names

Well, it's really up to you about the character's name but I really don't like when the fictional character's name is American/English. I prefer it to be Korean names; more realistic?

6. Uninteresting foreword

Forewords are meant to attract readers!!

7. When photos pops out in the middle of nowhere

You know, when people puts a photo to show this or that to make the readers understand. Just link it and it'll be fine.

8. Colourful fonts

I don't think you're making it any more interesting.

That's pretty much it. I'm indeed a picky one~ No matter how interesting the story may be, I won't read it if they're on my turn off list.

*nod, nod* But I don't like linking either ^^ Writers should be able to describe what the characters are wearing or eating, the house they live in, etc. Not too detailed, but enough to make up a mental picture in my head.

I don't mind American names if characters aren't Korean XD
