I immediatelly though about Amber when I first saw Ren's picture. Why? Because I had that same reaction with it.

It's just funny how f(x) and NU'EST have the same vibe with promoting the gender bender that most of us fanfictioner like. F(x) with the boyish Amber and nu'est with girly Ren.

So as a kpop fan I see this as a promoting strategy, which is good. Maybe some boys don't like 'Manber' because they feel like gay to like a boyish girl but girls like her. Actually she's the one that got me into f(x) because she makes f(x) different.

Nu'est also went to that way. But boys still don't like that because whatsoever Ren is still a boy. But girls like him, girls like girly boyfor some reason.

And that makes nu'est different. I'm not saying nu'est is the first, we know that some group has their own pretty boy but Ren is different.

I don't have any issue with his style as long as he feels comfortable and likes it. But if he is just forced to be like that... Well that's just sad.
