The First Part: Mistaken Happiness

Description

So Eun knew how Joon had felt about her, but she didn’t want to avoid it. She was in the same class with him, and had felt she couldn’t avoid him, even if she wanted to. She decides to tell him she had a fiancé already, and would get married right after graduating. She left him heartbroken. Though after coming from his trip to Seoul, he finds out Kim Bum is only her boyfriend, and he still has a chance with her. Since Joon’s family is wealthier than Kim Bum in the states, and is equally as wealthy as him in Korea, So Eun’s mother decides to give So Eun’s hand in marriage to Kim Joon, thinking marrying into a richer family, would be better for her daughter’s future, and since Joon’s father had saved So Eun’s mother twenty years ago, she thinks this is the best way to repay him for saving her life.

Foreword

“You belong to me.” She remembered him saying. Her mother had given her hand in marriage to Joon, without her permission, and now, she was stuck in this difficult position. She was always aware of Joon’s feelings for her, but she knew very well her heart belonged to her boyfriend, Kim Bum. Joon’s father had saved her mother twenty years ago, and had always wanted to repay him, and by giving her daughter’s hand in marriage to his son, her mother thinks it’s the best way to repay him. Now it was up to So Eun to decide: To follow her mother’s wishes, or her heart.
